Their new album is pretty much the only thing that's making me doubt that Super Furry Animals' next is going to be the album of the year (coming from me, this means a lot; although I hope SFA's next kicks its ass). At first, I found Open Water dull and unmemorable, but after three or four listens, it clicked. This is way better than The Decline of British Sea Power.

I love it. The third track is amazingly wonderful. Pretty much every track is wonderful. Nothing on it is as immediately great as "Remember Me" or "Carrion", but patience rewarded me with even better songs.

It is really fucking good indeed. Definately the best thing ive heard all year so far. Its much more direct than Decline of... as well. Gone are the totally haphazard track sequencing, it flows a lot better as a result of it imo. Dont get me wrong, Decline is still really great, but yeah this is better....

I'm a huge BSP fan based on Decline - I know it's not inspired all thetime, but it's solid and good and when they're on, they're on. If the second one is better then YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!

Decline is an awesome album, count me in for a second helping

"British Sea Power" is an awesome band title, right up there with "The Family Cat"
