I hope he comes back; let's face it, the SmackDown! title scene sucks at the moment.
I mean really, WWE is hurting lately with it's lack of star power and the star power they have/had aren't happy with the direction of the company or looking to branch out to other entertainment mediums. Brock isn't a savior nor is The Rock coming back full time ( he won't ever do that ) but still it's a good stepping stone.

Brock coming back to smackdown would be great... His matches were always intense and his a crackup as a heel :lol

These bigtime stars cant bring ratings back up... the company needs and overhall like in the 90's attitude era.

Lesnar would be better, but seriously - the people they have in the midcard absolutely suck. I think the whole JBL thing is pretty funny, he's been a decent champion, but he has no name power. The tag team division is basically a joke. When it's like that, you should have someone like the heel Dudleys hold the title for about to year to make it seem worth something.

Then again there would be a lot more star power if they would end this brand extention crap, and go back to the old 2 show a week form.

Even if The Rock came back to the WWE full-time, that wouldn't really help any. When they cannibalized WCW/ECW's roster of wrestlers, that's the moment they took a dive. Before that, WWE was a The Rock laying the smackdown, Steve Austin fueding with Vince, Gangrel drinking fake blood, DX running a muck all over the place, Mankind getting put through tables, the Godfather bringing his hos out to the ring, the Undertaker converting other wrestlers into acolytes, and Rikishi giving people the stink-face.

Fast forward to present date and now all the WCW/ECW riffraff were let in. And now there's two WWE championship belts. Utter bs! I don't want to SEE Eric Bishoff, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and I sure as hell don't want to see the Dudley Boys. If I wanted to see those guys, I would have watched WCW and ECW. Some where out there someone in charge came up with the idea that "Hey! If we combine WCW and ECW's roster with WWE's, we'll have the ultimate show because fans of all three will only be able to watch one show!" -- BUT in reality the idea didn't come out so well.

TOO many damn wrestlers and not enough interesting storylines. You know how you can have a box of chocolates and not like all of the chocolates in the box? Well, that's what WWE is to me now. I used to be able to watch it back in days in described above and I would be able to sit down and watch the whole show because I liked all the wrestlers who were fighting; but these days I find myself changing the channel back and forth because half of the time theres some WCW/ECW riffraff in the ring beating the hell outta each other and I don't give a damn who wins!

ANOTHER thing I don't like is how they can take a persona like the Undertaker and totally assassinate his character by turning him into the "American Badass". I mean, he goes from being Undead to some grease ball on a motorcyle. NOW, if you noticed, the fucktards they have doing the writing for the storylines, realized that they fans didn't like the 'new' undertaker and decided they should change his character more back to it's roots, BUT it's too late cuz the damage has been done. Assclowns!

They took a great show and ruined it. When the ratings drop lower and lower, and they find themselves unable to get Hogan back in the ring to bail them out because he's going the way of Arnie and Jessie, and getting into politics, I'll be happy. Then when the show finally gets cancelled, maybe they'll put something on worth watching like Married with Children re-runs.

I agree with your post except for this...

84 straight weeks of WCW wins and the popularity of ECW-ish devices (ie, hardcore title, tables, etc) kind of pushed Vince into absorbing that kind of stuff.

But yeah... no Brock plz. Bridge burned, lesson learned.

Give us what we really need:

Nailz.

You now belong to FMT.
they have let back wrestlers with more baggage than Brock..

desperate times call for deperate messures...

I watched wrestling religiously a couple years ago in college... I now forget it is on....

I hope Brock comes back. The guy is a legit monster and probably the best pure athlete they've had in years.

Vince penchant for making his talent work WAY too much backfired when Brok had enough "fuck you" money. He left.

These guys are on the road 200 days a year, he had a new daughter he didn't even get to see born. Don't think that takes a toll on you?

While I'm not defending his actions, considering when he let the company know of his plans (3 weeks before Mania), I can understand whhe did what he did.

Vince will take him back, he takes everyone back. Hogan anyone?

This would be a valid point, if he wasn't separated from that girlfriend and bangin' Sable. A lot of love there!

Notice I mentioned nothing of his relationship with the child's mother, kinda on purpose.

First tragedy, then farce.
Wait.. you cant complain about them letting in WCW/ECD talent and then mentioning Mankind as being a good WWF wrestler. Plus, Eddie, Benoit, Jericho, Rey Mysterio are all top level talent and they came from other promotions.

The main problem is the brand extension.. you spread your talent to thinly.. so now you have guys who should be midcards being pushed to the top... you have guts in the midcard that should be on Velocity/heat.

Look at Shelton Benjamin. Guy is a solid midcarder right now who is having his first IC title run.. and has NO ONE to feud with, Im figuring they will feed him Rhyno or someone else we dont care about pretty soon (Viscera?), hopefully they get smart and a nice Batista feud gets going soon. They are feeding him Christian, who is still feuding with Y2J as far as I can tell. You combine the rosters, and he could be feuding with Haas, Dupree, RVD, Carlito, Jesus, Cena, et al.

Another thing that bothers me. TAKE THE TITLE BELTS OFF OF PEOPLE WHO ARE ALLREADY OVER. I either want traditional tag teams (dudleys, Rosey/Hurricane, La Res) that are tied to each other for life... or I want to see undercarders with the belts. The tag team was allways a way to try to put over smaller stars and have people actually care about their matches. Eugene/Regal isnt too objectionable because they arent going to give them anything better than that, and they seem to be tied to the hip. But RVD and Rey Rey need the tag team titles about like a billionaire needs to win the lotto. I wish London still had the belt... but he vanished to Velocity very quickly.. especially after some great matches.
