Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood Thread

Anyone pick this up yet? I've heard rumors of an early release at Walmart and I think Gamestop is shipping it now. I'm going to go see if I can find it today.

Sounds like the AI has been improved so that the Germans move around more. Should be a lot of fun. I loved the first game, it's my favorite Xbox game this year. I will post impressions when I pick it up.

I reallyl want to pick it up, but I've dropped so much anticipated money on a slew of stuff recently. I know there will be co-op play, if it's confirmed to be online, then I'll have no choice but to pick it up. ;) I loved the first game and liked the demo to this sequel.

Too many good games!! :lol

I loved RTH30...and I want to pick this up but I want to know what's improved and different? And why did it only take them like 6 months to make it? :lol

Just picked this up at TRU, they had it behind the counter but hadn't put it on the shelves yet. It appears from the manual as if you can play the skirmish mode online with co-op. Won't be able to play it for a few hours, but I'll post impressions when I get a chance to play it for a couple of hours.

No. You can't play single-player campaign missions in co-op. I haven't played it yet, but it appears their are ten maps in Skirmish mode which each have unique objectives, but they are not tied to the single-player campaign.

Some quick early impressions:

Not surprisingly, the game plays very similarly to the first BiA. Graphics look bascially identical. I played the first two missions (Normal difficulty) and so far it's more of the same tactical shooter goodness. The first mission has a little tutorial, but things get going pretty quickly. One thing I did notice was that in the second level, the German AI seemed much more aggresive in moving around. Instead of sitting behind the same spot of cover the whole time, different groups would move into different postition as your squad move around. I feel like I will use the overhead view much more than I did in the previous version. It seemed fairly challenging in the second level, so it's likely that it will be at least as hard as the first one (a good thing)

The presentation is still excellent, the opening score is great, the story so far is running parallel to the original but I understand that as the game progress you move past the end of the first game.
