Ok..so I'm clicking on links to movies (WMVs, MPGs etc) and for some reason the browser refuses to open Windows Media Player to play them. I just recently DL'ed an avi video that worked just fine.

Possible reasons I can think of involve a recently downloaded codec pack (2 nights ago) or maybe Zone Alarm stuff (I can't remember for certain if I've linked to videos since refreshing my comp and installing ZA).

Are there some settings I could check/adjust to see if it's just a browser issue?

Are you right-clicking and Saving as? Or just just clicking the links? I just Saved as..

I'm not trying to save them, I'm just trying to view them in the media player...

Open up Media Player and then just go File->Open URL...

I would just reinstall media player

open WMP and open option/file types. Make sure the types you want to play are checked. If the file type is in a gray border, another media player has control of that file type.
