Apparently he compared the movie to The Expendables:

“Yeah, The Expendables, or more like the It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World of horror. I want to get so many horror movie stars that people can’t possibly not see the movie. I want to give them other stuff to do. I want to have Kane Hodder be very particular about what he eats. I want Robert Englund to be a tough guy, like he knows tae kwon do or something. I want to find out the hidden sides of all these people. Some will play themselves, some will play alternate characters as well. I may approach Kane Hodder to play Frankenstein. He could be Kane Hodder himself fighting himself as Frankenstein. It could be crazy. It’s a silly concocted story that we hope to do maybe in a year or so. My breaks between Burn Notice have been getting tighter because they’ve been adding episodes. They’re trying to trap me like a rat in the TV world, and I might just let them. There’s a script, it just kind of blows right now, so no one’s really seeing it. We gotta work on it. Definitely shoot in Oregon all on a stage. It’s like the 300 of horror comedies. We want to make it a whole world. Someone’s gotta take Frank down for good.”

Last i checked plot was something along the lines of this:

We have an idea where Bruce is going to visit a country in Europe and he thinks
he´s got an all-expense-paid stay there. They put him up in a big castle and he thinks there are groupies running around, but they´re not really groupies, they´re minions.

But after this interview i think they just need to throw away the idea of a "My name is Bruce" sequel and do something more along the lines of what Bruce described. The idea of a whole cast full of horror movie icons with Bruce leading it is just too good to pass up.

Honestly, Bruce Campbell is such an underrated actor.

He´s a character. He showed his real acting chops in other stuff, like Burn Notice. But i just love the guy for being pure fan service regarding Ash and his other B-movie characters. He doesnt forget :D

They should totally do it as them booked at some kind of horror con where Bruce and others are guests at and all hell breaks loose.
Would be fantastic.

how is my name is bruce?

Depends on how much you like Bruce Campbell.

If you dont like him its a pretty bad movie, if you do, it can be enjoyable.

Its kind of a missed opportunity, could have been a lot better.

Evil Dead 4 first. Then do the horror movie extravaganza Bruce was talking about

And a My Name is Bruce sequel? Well, shove it up yer ass.

Doesn't really matter if you like Bruce or not, it's a terrible movie either way :p

Problem with horror icons, outside of Robert Englund, most people have no clue who anyone else is.

Yeah but it wouldnt really be a bid budget, major release.

Its clearly targeted towards people who do know who they are.

Evil Dead 4 on the other hand would be marketed as a big release at this point, and it could have a good budget. Thats what i think anyway.

I saw My Name is Bruce at the local Sundance Theatre.

Bruce came out afterwards for some Q&A. He totally owned some guy trying being a jackass.

Hes great with crowds, saw him at a panel at a Miami con a while back and he was pimping Burn Notice season 2. He was just awesome and the way he handled some of the stupid questions people would toss his was way hilarious.

I want a Burn Notice prequel feature film with the character Chuck Finley. I also want Bruce Campbell to be in The Expendables 2. I would also enjoy Evil Dead 4, and another season of Jack of all Trades.

Last I heard, Bruce's Burn Notice character was going to get a spin-off series. That would be awesome squared.

Bubba Ho-Tep is a much better movie than My Name is Bruce, so this news is slightly disappointing.
That being said, the more Bruce Campbell, the better.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really hope this is done, I'm a big BC fan, and even if they're bad, I would watch his movies just because he's in them.
