So last night I tried Molson Kick, a new beer that has caffeine in it from some plant called "guarana". The beer was alright, but then later on when I tried to sleep I kept waking up and my heart was beating like a rabbits. Kinda freaked me out. Took me a few hours to finally fall asleep.

The beer comes in some weird ass aluminum bottle too. Anyone else tried this stuff?

I once had some coffee beer made by Red Hook. Although it tasted interesting, it wasn't anything special, and I didn't feel any kind of kick.

I think the idea of caffeinated beer is kind of dumb, but I DO think that if you want to get REALLY drunk and get into massive trouble, mixing caffeine and alcohol is the way to go. The caffeine counteracts the depressant effect of the alcohol, so at the point you normally start getting sleepy rather than out of control...you just keep on being out of control. Of course, combining them dehydrates you even worse than usual, so the hangover is profound.

In fact, one of the craziest nights I ever had started with a quad shot mocha at 5 PM and ended with splitting a bottle of tequila with a hot blonde...but I'm not going to talk about that.

Budweiser has one out called B2. It is in an aluminum bottles in bars. I tried it out when it was first released. It probably is pretty much the same stuff from what you describe. But it seemed the Bud stuff was more beer than energy drink. I definitely didn't get the energy kick that was supposed to accompany it. It tasted like beer with brown sugar added.
