[Die Squirrel Die]

So I'm doing my dissertation and I want to insert some sort of dividing line between the sections to make it look better and clearer. Just a half page line, but I'm not actually sure how to do this. I tried messing around to, inserting stuff but it started to do some funny stuff to my work and I was worried about losing it all.

Help is much appreciated.

hmm.. did you try Format --> Borders and Shading ?

You can put a straight line after each section but I don't know how to make it only half a page long..
