Can Someone Sum E3 Thus Far?

I've been so busy that I haven't been able to give my 100%, and there's just too much shit to keep track of, mostly due to half backed conspiracies and fanboy driven excuses. Here's what I have thus, and please feel free to add to the list:

- Xbox 360 premieres, underwhelms people; the Perfect Dark Zero debacle becomes a poster child for them of sorts
- PS3 premieres, people go ga-ga over the graphics, the console and controller design makes everyone cringe, wacky Photoshops commence
- Nintendo's press conference bores everyone to tears, with too much DS for some, not enough Revolution for most, plus a new Zelda trailer
- everyone fights over PS3 trailers about them being pre-rendered or not, the concession being that its all in game graphics but just heavily scripted
- a super tiny GBA is revealed
- some rather neat DS games are shown
- hardly any PSP games are present
- in fact, there's no real breakout games, at least any surprises
- Microsoft seems to have a hard time keeping the facts regarding backwards compatibility straight as crazy rumor and speculation runs rampant; it becomes clear that they perhaps didn't expect BC to be such a hot topic.
- Some guy names Aries goes on some message board claiming Nintendo will reveal a shocker on Thursday, which doesn't happen. A fanmade vid featuring a fictitious console, the NintendoON, is somehow used as ammo. Then folks start thinking that Aries was Reggie trying to stir shit up.

What am I missing?

I think you've pretty much covered all the major points. This E3 is certainly not as satisfying as last year's.

No games. Lots of mistakes. All the new consoles are physically attractive. Killzone better rock. 360 better pick up the pace. Nintendo am cry.

I thought the developers of killzone actually said it was a "representation of what they were trying to make" or something like that. Basically saying it was pre-rendered.

It's funny, cause I'm pretty much a Nintendo fanboy, and my four most anticipated games are Zelda, Civ4, Spore, and Rise of Legends.

And word on the street (with a pinch of salt) is that Guerilla didn't even make it. "Scottish CGI shop" keeps popping up in conversation.

On the portable front, as a DS owner, I couldn't be happier with the quality they've shown. Even with the lack of SE's showing, they pulled through nicely.

It's so bad, I don't even give a shit that I got sick and left early yesterday and didn't go today.

That's how bad it is.

I think Blizzard's priority right now is the massive cash cow they've got going in WoW. Battlegrounds, expansion packs, and who knows what else. When you've got 2 million + people paying $15 bucks a month to play, it makes sense to put everything else on the backburner.

this is gonna sound a bit cruel, but for some reason when I read this, I thought "Oh shit, they still make PC games?"
