I do not know what is happening but every time I try to type on this forum, it makes my keyboard disappear or does some other weird thing. I am using an Android phone and right now I am having to use speech to text. But otherwise I cannot type on this form using my mobile phone. Anyone else having this issue?
I also want to mention that this does not seem to be happening anywhere else online accept this forum.
This just started happening about 2 hours ago or maybe less.

I've had it for a while, everytime I press delete to erase a typo or rephrase something my android keyboard just disappears. It is kinda annoying but I don't use my phone that much to care.

Can confirm I've had this same issue on Galaxy S9 but it's working properly now.

Yup I'm on an LG Aristo 5. Works fine everywhere else though.

sometimes when i backspace and clear the entire text box the keyboard will minimize but i just tried it now and it's not doing that. no clue why

Yeah, I've had that issue on my S10+ for at least a few days, if not the last week or so.

I already try to avoid typing on a phone anyway, so I don't care that much. It just makes me avoid mobile and I see that as a good thing.

Have you tried a different keyboard? I use SwiftKey and haven't had any issues.

I have a fairly nice/recent phone and it's happening to me too. It's annoying when i want to search for something and the keyboard decides it wants to go bye bye. :/

Same problem for me, although it comes and goes. It's fine most of the time, but occasionally hitting return or delete drops the keyboard.

Never happens anywhere else.

Sure the cog is green, I had an issue with backspacing causing me to leave threads which was fixed by doing that

it's been just straight freezing up on me a lot lately. kind of weird. but the good thing is i can just close and reopen, and sometimes the post i was working in is still there

desktop is still my preferred way to post though. i'm just talking about when i'm on my iPhone

Same thing has been happening to me for the past couple of weeks. Hit the little gear icon in the top right to make all the options disappear. Only thing that stops it for me.

My phone was doing that a few days ago, the keyboard would disappear when I hit backspace. It's working now, maybe try updating your phones or your keyboard app. I use the Fleksy keyboard.

Its the weird draft system.

Same on iPhone. Return and backspace behave very unpredictably on mobile if I don't disable the WYSIWYG options.
