So I pop a DVD in that I have some rather large files stored on. Go to copy them to the hard drive, but it gives me the topic message.

...I try and play it, and it gives an unspecified error.

YET I can see the files.

What do I do, dudes? Are these disks done for? Is there any way to recover the data?

Can you play the files?

Have you tried using another DVD ROM drive?

I can't play the files, they give unknown errors in WMP and Media Player Classic. :-\

...and no, I haven't. Mainly because I don't know where another one is around here...heh.
