Sneaky Capcom is still counting the vanilla version of RE7 and the Gold Edition as the same release, lol.

Edit: and Street Fighter 5/Arcade too.

Man, deciding to put Monster Hunter on Xbox/PS4/PC instead of Switch looks like it really paid off for them.

DMC:V 2.5m
SF:V 3.7m
Dragon's Dogma + Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen 1.3m + 2.1m = 3.4m

Dragon's Dogma limping to victory

Just goes to show how successful companies love to shout about their success from the rooftops, while failing companies like to hide and obfuscate their sales by moving the goalposts. (See: Xbox)

Why is that funny or unusual? They are exactly the same game.
They used to count re-releases and special editions as different titles. RE5 and RE5 Gold Edition were counted as different titles. All versions of Street Fighter 4 were counted as different titles. The Gold Edition of RE7 isn't the same as the vanilla since it comes with all DLC for a cheaper price.

Just recently that Capcom changed it, likely to 'inflate' the numbers of the games.

People just don't say the adage "if you've got it, flaunt it" for nothing, right?
