Capcom wants to revitalize DMC, Mega Man, and Ace Attorney series with new titles and remakes

Capcom owns a wealth of globally popular brands, such as Mega Man, Devil May Cry, and Ace Attorney. We aim to expand our user base and improve our performance through new releases, remakes, and ports of titles in these series to new hardware. By enhancing brand power and cultivating loyal fan bases, we will grow these into core IPs.

From their investor report. I would be very interested to see what a new Mega Man would look like. Another throw back to the old formula?

If they announce Megaman Legends 3 I will indeed be surprised. If they iterate upon DMC 5 I hope they ditch Nero and focus on level design.

Just make CvS3 already, I'm old and I'm afraid I won't live to see it :messenger_grinning_smiling:
I don't even have any hope for Sengoku Basara to return...

They already did crossover DLC in Street Fighter VI and City of the Wolves...
Now, combine all of this, take the Groove system from CvS2 and make a separate, full-fledged game...
If they can also use shaders to create pseudo-2D graphics from 3D models, that would be really great.

These series haven't been really dead for too long (Ace Attorney as of August 2017, Mega Man as of October 2018, Devil May Cry as of March 2019) and were already part of their core IP lineup. What changed this generation?

That's not Dino Crisis.
We have Dino Crisis at home

Devil May Cry 6 and not a remake, please.
On one hand - it sucks that Itsuno wouldn't be working on it. On the other hand, Kamiya has said he hopes to be able to work on other Capcom IPs in the future, but it would suck if he ignored all the stuff that happened in DMC2 - DMC4.

He does have a working relationship with the guy who wrote the last couple DMC games, so that's good.

Remaking another RE game would be too much right after releasing RE9, so they are looking at what they could remake next.

If those rumors of Code Veronica and RE0 remakes targeting 2027 and 2028 (respectively) are true, then that is not really a concern for Capcom.
I mean, we already had RE2, RE3 and RE8 in 2019, 2020, and 2021 respectively.

Careful what you ask for. New Megaman will be tailored to suit new audiences (again) and will feature current trends in manga/anime.
Turning him into a moody kpop style pretty boy and Roll a haughty goth loli.

Yeah yeah, some of you are into that shit, I know.

DMC 3 remake yes please. Just focus on primarily updating the visuals and maybe add 2 new weapons. We good.

Megaman X 1-3 2.5D he remastered? Yes please.

Ace attorney? No one cares.

Would be stupid not to do a new Ace Attorney after bringing it back into relevance with all those remaster trilogies.

Devil May Cry seems primed for some sort of remake but you can finish that game in about 6 hours. It would need to be substantially expanded.

Mega Man.... don't really care about. Hand it off to one of those pixel art slop studios like The Game Kitchen or Tribute Games. Done.
