Cash-in-transit Attempted Robbery Dashcam Video

Holy moly.

Full news article for those curious about the end result.

"The passanger on the escort vehicle took the guns out and prepared for war. But unfortunately, no gun shots were fired from those guns since the driver of the escort vehicle handled the situation well. He rammed the two vehicles and sustained the situation.
The escorting car was a Toyota land cruiser, we got to see this properly through the pictures which were taken after the incident."

Kinda crazy for a news article to call the lack of gunfire unfortunate...

So what was the outcome?
Also loved the twist at the end where the guy with the armoured vest and the gun stays to finish his tweet and hands the gun to the driver.
Also also I have new respect for the Winter Soldier movie, I always thought that the attack on Nick Fury while amazing was a little too much, but then this video shows that the bullet resistant glass does behave kind of like that.

What a bunch of amateurs. You have to have watched Heat if you want to get in this business. You set a trap and stop the truck first. Then open fire.

Also, I watched this with no sound and I immediately knew this had to be South Africa lol. And not just because of those guys are the most south african looking dudes ive seen. This kind of shit only happens in hollywood movies or South Africa.

Those two are legends. Especially the driver. It’s weird how they have like zero communication with each other. Before and during the attempted robbery.

There are millions of whiny 5-year olds on Earth, and I AM THEIR KING.

Yoooo my thoughts exactly. Regardless, these drivers were pros.

A quick google indicates this is a big problem in SA (one of many big problems)

More info on this attack

Lol phones.

It was an attempt to hit a courier carrying phones. White ranger was hitting the courier. White Audi attacked the land cruiser. He rammed both cars but then got stuck ramming the Audi over a bollard. The Audi reversed after the first turn around on the highway and he tried to drive over them. But missed. No phones stolen. All bad guys ran away. No injuries. Land cruiser a bit sore.

When you're trained for certain things, in certain scenarios, you don't necessarily need to speak since you are prepared and execute. Aside from reading the scenario your movements and actions tell the rest, then when it gets really spicy you have to do more.

From experience.

holy fucking shit

it's time to make literal batmobiles to deal with that kinda shit

i take it armored vehicles are like mini tanks?

dude rammed into the attackers with a confidence that the will be no flippage or anything like that which could stop the armored vehicle

This exact reason is why firearms such as the FNP90 exist. Notice how in such a confined space the M4 is unwieldy and clumsy, as the driver gets out of the car the passenger had to hand the rifle to him butt first.

This is much easier (with training) to use exiting a vehicle, and 5.7x28 is more than powerful enough for what most criminals rock for body armor.

South Africa has sky-high murder and robbery rates, like astronomical compared to a place like the US... so I feel you. I love when people shit on the US and then you show them how catastrophically dangerous it is to live in even a slightly less civilized country and they shut the fuck up.

Exact reason why I always carry one.

Another thing to think about is that all the armor required for vehicles like these make it a serious pain in the ass to actually drive. When Trump took 'The Beast' onto the Daytona track they couldn't go high in the turns, because the limo could have literally rolled over given how heavy it is.

that is an appalling bad car as an cash-in-transit car.
I disagree.

Given the market, the truck, south africa, it's a good choice. Would better blend into the surroundings then a dedicated special transport vechical.

Blending in is just as good a security tactic. Also, this truck appeared a lot more nimble and driveable then some heavy beast.

A rolling fortress might have allowed them to shoot back, but the offesivse escape would be unlikely.

SA armored transports apperently use iszusu trucks as heavy armor. They had a sports car of armored vehicles.
