Same, I'm pleased but also worried that Mappa is sliding back into the workhorse schedule (with this, Hell's Paradise 2, JJK 3, and Doro 2 all due in 2026) which almost caused their studio to implode last time that many large-scale projects were being worked on at the same time.
Yep, nothing afterwards. Don't believe anyone that says there is.
Unless you are ok with nothing getting resolved and the author suddenly going: *You know what, fuck this. Pochita just quits the the entire narrative, the end*
Yeah, a lot of people seem upset but, having not read part 2 myself, I'm not terribly concerned. Part 1 is a largely complete story imo, and from what I've heard it sounds like Fujimoto really didn't care about CSM anymore, so if this gives him the chance to move onto another project he does care about, because he is a talented artist, than all the better.

To be fair, part 1 of the manga works perfectly fine as a standalone story.
Then again, whenever manga readers seem unhappy with an ending anime watcher seem to love it (like Attack on Titan). So who knows, maybe they'll love the end of part 2 too.
As somebody that didn't read the manga, and thought that S1 of the anime was just okay, is the Reze movie or this arc worth giving another shot?
My problem with the anime was mainly that they cut out/cut short a lot of the action scenes compared to the manga (according to a friend). For what it's worth, I thought the few fights I saw were really wild and well done, but it felt like there was too little of it for how insane the concept was. I expected S1 of One Punch Man amounts of action.

That is one of my issues with the anime, they really cut short a lot of the action scenes
As for the manga, Part 1 is fantastic but it's not until Part 2 where the manga doesn't get bad but I can tell the mangaka isn't as invested in the story. Which is why I wasn't surprised he ended it so soon. I didn't hate Part 2 but compared to Part 1, Part 1 is a masterpiece but Part 2 just felt super aimless
