That said, I am kind of over people misunderstanding what cultural appropriation actually means. Like cultural appropriation is about a person using their privilege to profit from another cultural without benefitting those they took it from, like white artists taking blues and rock songs and getting crossover success, etc. It isn't literally any instance of cultural exchange. Chet isn't pretending to be Jamaican, the whole thing is a fucking goof.
