Channel4 redeems itself!

Every year when big brother starts up my faith in the greatness of channel4 begins to wane. But now they are back with a vengeance!

First up we have The House of Obsessive Compulsives !! A great idea stick a woman who can't touch anything and is totally afraid of glitter, a woman that washes over and over and a man that is afraid that he will confess to the police that he has committed murders so he writes everything down, he also chains himself to his bed when he's asleep because he sleepwalks. Watch them get over their illness together!

The Sex Inspectors it's back for a second series!! Two experts (a gay dude who I'm 99% sure his a fake face) We get to watch people fuck whilst the experts analyze it!

Ahh Channel4 u are the best tv has to offer.
 
now they are talking about blow jobs and how she is worried about him cumming because it goes quite far and remote control vibrators woo :lol

Anyway they got their sexlife back but then realised they weren't going anywhere so split up. :lol
 
The House of Obsessive Compulsives was a great show. It was horrible to see how badly OCD was fucking people's lives. Didn't see the sex programme.

Channel 4 are great. Despite Big Brother and...*shudders* Hollyoaks *spits*.

I love their documentaries, whether it's a seperate thing like THoOC, Dispatches or Cutting Edge. Especially with so much focus on illnesses I hardly know anything about, like multiple personality disorder and OCD.

Their comedies are perhaps even better, with Spaced, Black Books, The Green Wing, Bo Selecta, Ali G, Brass Eye, Phoenix Nights, Father Ted, Trigger Happy, Adam and Joe and probably a hell of a lot more I can't think of/haven't seen.

Finally they also bring over lots of the big US shows for us. Well, either they get them or Five do anyway. Scrubs, Friends, Frasier, The Simpsons (now), Lost, Desperate Housewives, Smallville, The OC, The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Nip/Tuck, The West Wing...etc. I don't actually like how they treat some of those shows, Angel and Alias were both on C4 briefly before being sent to late nights with hardly a chance to shine (they edited out entire Angel fight scenes and wonder why it rated so badly!) and then sold to Five, who realised the shows were so fucked by then that they better put it on late nights too. And they edit the best bits out of Smallville...it's a good job I watch those shows before they hit C4 anyway.

That aside, Channel 4 would really have to fuck up to lose my confidence.
 
Nothing wrong with Hollyoaks, except the terrible plot holes and awful acting..

ohh then eurotrash was on after sex inspectors. Good stuff. Big Brother is on AGAIN now. So I'm watching Lee Evans playing a nutter on bbc1 hooray

I had a girlfriend once who loved the show. First time I went to visit her at uni was a weekend, and the omnibus was on on Sunday morning. I have never wanted to put my fist through anything more than that TV that morning. It's just the worst show on TV, I had to leave her in there watching it and go and talk to people I'd never met, and I've sat through the fucking budget when I was unemployed!
 
BB UK isn't bad! I downloaded an episode where a gay housemate had to wait until no one else was around, sit in from of a gnome and watch it's eyes flash and interpret it into morse code. :lol It was just kind of funny, watching him kneel with his makeup and fancy feminine asian robe on analyzing a bunch of queer looking gnomes for morse code. :lol :lol

Then later on some other dude in the house (he's like 30 years old, looks like the type that lives in a basement) was bragging about how he had to take tests for morse code at really fast speed. He remembered what the code was and actually said it (well "beeped" it) out of his mouth at one of the girls in the house. She just had this look on her face like "you fucking freak!" :lol

And didn't a transsexual win your BB last year? Why can't the US have crazy people like that to keep the show interesting?

Is Channel4 like something extra you have to pay for (HBO, Cinemax, etc.)? Or if you have a TV, antenna and even no cable service, you still get it?

If that's the case, damn US Censorship laws, damn them straight to hell. :(
 
To be fair, I didn't give this series a chance (does...does that sentence make sense?). I watched bits of the first week and found everyone so repulsive that I didn't bother.

Oh I did see a couple of episodes one week when everyone else wanted to watch it and I wasn't going to be anti-social. Guy called Maxwell and the fit one with the huge tits...begins with S...anyway, they seemed to have turned out nice once things had calmed down a bit. But they've both been voted off I hear, so that's the end of any interest I might have had.

yep it's free (well tv license but we all pay that) 1 tv with an antenna is all u need :)
 
We've done well for winners over here. Not sure what the US is like, but we've had your normal average white guy, white woman, white gay guy, virgin white guy, white transexual (man to woman) and then there's this year.

I only specify they're all white because that's pretty much the only area that's not been diverse.
