depp as wonka "looks" fine, and not even wilder can beat depp and walking that fine line between comical and creepy. hell, depp even walks that line in his real life..

plus hearing elfman sing the oompa loompa stuff will be cool. Jack's parts are so great in Nightmare Before Christmas.

The kids... they look too outrageous. Those costumes just look like they were taken one or two steps too far in severity.

Supposedly the teaser is showing before The Polar Express, so I'm anxious to see that show up online. Hopefully something worthwhile is shown, and not just a minor tease.

I am terribly disapointed in Veruca Salt. Tho no one can come close to the original. Depp looks fab, as he always does.

Is the girl in the blue velour jumpsuit the gum chewing girl? her name escapes me, but if so...thats just wrong. But I love Depp/Burton together so I will give this a chance and its still the first remake I've EVER been happy to see hollywood do.

Looks perfect to me. I was exposed to the book first and never cared for the Wilder movie. These shots look very close to how I imagined things.
