are there any decent speaker stands out there that are less then 80-100 bucks? and if so, where can i get them?

and no, i dont want to build any myself out of pvc or conduit pipe. nor do i want to buy one that looks as if i may as well have built them myself

any help would be greatly appreciated. we just got new carpet and tile in the house, and my girlfriend is killing me over the current 6.1 setup

Not really. I bought a set from Ikea (in pairs) with a great rock base, might be the same ones mentioned in this thread, but for the money I can't imagine anything better.

IKEA's stands are the only ones i would buy. Best Buy sell teh cheapest set for like $80, way too much fo a piece of iron and a stand.....
