Cheesy, cheerful songs.

The whole Andrew WK library, Dogs Die in Hot Cars, Del Amitri - Roll to Me, Happatai - Yatta!....

give me all the happy sounding cheese I can get, please! I want my fill. The kind of stuff they always play in the summer. It can be the most popular crap on the planet. If it fits the bill I don't care.

Also jpop recommendations would be hot.

Yes, many of these are the pinnacle of cheese, but many are not (and in fact, many are not explicitly "cheerful" in terms of lyrics, but the sound is really cool); all of them are good songs-- I don't care what anyone says. :D They're not necessarily my "favorite" songs, but they're the ones that make me feel upbeat and positive when I listen to them for whatever reason (the sound, the lyrics, whatever it may be). I'm sure I've forgotten some, so expect addendums as they come to me. ;) :p

Addendum #1:

"No Such Thing", by John Mayer

"Where The Streets Have No Name", by U2 (how could I have forgotten this? One of my top 10 songs ever :p)

"The Sweetest Thing", by U2

"Mysterious Ways", by U2

"The Promise", by When In Rome

he looks like a porn star :lol , an 80's porn star at that!

Don't diss that man, I was at a party that almost got busted because we were playing it too loud.

It was Lathentar's fault, he almost got his face blown off 5 minutes earlier, and had to ease the pain.

Chicago rules.

Speaking of Chicago..and speaking of cheesy...obviously there is nothing more cheesy than Happy Hardcore.

So I'll post a Happy Hardcore remix of a Chicago song! :)

It's done my Go Mental and this is their second whack at the song...they did tons of other 80s songs...well, there was a craze for hardcore remixes in the mid-late 90s.

Go Mental - Hold Me Now (98 remix)

Lisa Edelstein's dad touched my private parts. True fact.
Capitol K - Pillow is the most fun you will ever have with folktronica. No joke, just listen to a sample on itunes and hope the chorus is there!
