Cheney/Edwards Debate Tonight...

Cheneys attack is weak if you know that most of those committees meet in private. The meetings he has missed are public meetings where not much is disscussed. Still not good, but it's just more spin.

That was a nice personal attack by Cheney on Edwards and his attendance records, but what I really wanted to hear was Cheney's explanation on why Haliburton dealt with Libia and Iran, our sworn enemies, when he was CEO?

Cheney does seem like a mean person, but he also seems pretty intelligent.
Yes. Cheney comes across as an evil genius to me. Like a Bond villain. Complete with underground volcano lair.

Ouch. Cheney is really going all out. It's not so much that Edwards is doing badly. Cheney is just making him look bad and tearing him apart.

Ohhhhh....good rebuttal by Edwards. Tore Cheney down with him. About the best recovery he could possibly make from Cheney's attack.

wow both of these guys are like children. They aren't even answering the questions or each other's points. Its basically just a bunch of "Well if you think thats bad, listen to what HE did..." Edwards topped it off with that "No i talked about Israel HE didn't talk about israel!!!"

It was good for Edwards to bring up some strong concrete votes that Cheney voted against - that will resonate well with certain segments of the population. How the hell do you vote against meals for seniors... fuck you Cheney!

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
WTF is up with Edwards? One second he looks like Michael J Fox, the next second he looks like John Ritter, then he looks like Michael McKean, then all of a sudden he looks like Dennis Quaid.

Edwards looks like he can't wait to jump on the No Child Left Behind Act.

And a very good point by Edwards. Cheney just answered a COMPLETELY different question entirely.

LOL...Cheney brings up factcheck.org for some clarification, maybe he should clarify why they consistently call Kerry a "flip-flopper" on Iraq when the site he mentions, for fact clarifications, disputes Bush/Cheney's view that Kerry is "flip-flopping".

"Mr. Vice President, I don't think America can take 4 more years of this presidency." <--edit: or something like that..

"...fuck off... "

God damn, they are firing so much shit at each other, personal attack, personal attack, calling each other out.

They should just get it over with and throw down, Edwards might have the reach, but once Cheney gets in, I think he would be a good brawler.

Cheney has already won. Poor Edwards.

Seriously, you think so? I think it's pretty even right now. Cheney and Edwards just keep going back and forth. Sometimes one is more on it factually, sometimes the other one is. Both have been spinning. But also, both have been actually honest when it's about the other candidate.

Kind of a draw for me. So far

I could totally see Cheney carefully take off his glasses, put them in his front pocket, give Edwards a knockout headbutt, reach in his pocket, put his glasses back on, then walk off the stage...

Well played on the gay marriage issue by both candidates....

respect +1 on Cheney for his response and +1 for Edwards on playing to the common sense of the law as I've been mentioning here a bagillion times over!

Points to Cheney on that one.. stood his personal ground, and thanked Edwards. Mucho points for not just falling back on party line when it is so obviously against what he would believe.
