I used to love this movie as a kid. I think I wore the tape out. I hadn't seen it in years when it came on cable this morning. Surprisingly even though slightly dated it still holds up.

Heard there was a sequel but I never saw it.

Damn that movie takes me back. I still have it on Beta, i even have the huge Robot Standee for the movie. The movie was good. I never heard of the second one. Whats its name?

Yep, I remember it too, but not as fondly as you guys do. Actually thought it was only just OK at best. Still, it filled the gap for a Battltech/MechWarrior movie.

at the end when they become friends and they knock eachothers fists together and they have their thumb up, that was awsome!

me and my friends where like 9 and 11 years old when we saw it for the first time!

i remembered we always did the same as the 2 two main characters in the film at the end of the movie.
but we shouted "the american way" just as our fists met! hahaha man we where a bunch of crazy boys
