Chris Tucker, who has made only "Rush Hour" films since 1998, is expected to sign a two-picture, $40 million contract at New Line, reports Variety.

Tucker's signature, to be delivered after a meeting today with director Brett Ratner and screenwriter Jeff Nathanson, will put Rush Hour 3 on track for a late fall start in Los Angeles and Paris.

So, what crack house has Tucker been living in the last 3 years?

I loved the Rush Hour movies, so lets hope number 3 is solid too.

It won't be, but I can hope.
I think there's a decent chance it'll be pretty good.

Tucker and Cube must reunite to make a Friday sequel that doesnt suck.

Except the Friday sequels didn't suck.

They had allot to live up to because the first was/is a Classic, but the sequels were funny in their own right. They definitely held their own compared to other comedies at the time.

I agree, I loved the 2nd - and the 3rd was PIMP Velvet :lol

The problem with Tucker is he made the Rush Hour movies, thought he was hot shit, and demanded 20 million a picture, which was like Harrison Ford money. No one was willing to sign him until now I guess.

He actually got the 20 for RH2. I think he even got paid more than Jackie for it.

I didn't see the third friday, but if you thought the second Friday was very good, well...then we have very different tastes in movies.

But Tucker didn't share in the profits, Jackie did and actually came out on top over Tucker when it was all said and done.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned The Fifth Element!

I was gonna, then I thought better. I'll never watch that movie again just because of Tucker. Perhaps I was just too big a fan of Friday, but damn, after seeing The Fifth Element I didn't give a damn if I ever saw Tucker in another movie. Alas, I liked both of the Rush Hour flicks.

He hasn't been struggling. It was his decision to take a break from Hollywood, he was deeply moved by struggles in Africa and decided to dedicate his time to helping out as much as he could. Props to him for that. Cynical bitches.

Well I didn't really like the second movie as much, but the third one is fucking hilarious. I liked that one as much as the first.

I remember hearing Chris say he wouldn't do anymore Friday movies because Cube still hasn't paid him for the first one. This was on Steve Harvey's radio show, I'm not sure how serious he was though. I'd love to see all three of them together in a new Friday movie.

"AHH! 'S-wrong with-choo!? Whatcha screamin for?!"

haha That's my favorite Chris Tucker part of 5th Element. That and the spin move he does when he gets all in Corbin's face after saying "BZZZZ" to his entourage.

Funny, you come across as one of the most cynical members of this board.

Rush Hour was a great action/buddy flick. I enjoyed Rush Hour 2 when I first saw it, but seeing it again took away alot of the charm. The characters were far too exaggerated.

Rush Hour star Chris Tucker has pleaded guilty to speeding and eluding police during a brief car chase last month. The 32-year-old comedian told authorities that he didn't hear their sirens because he was on his way to church. Tucker entered the pleas on Tuesday in Georgia's Warren County Probate Court and paid a fine of $6,999, according to court clerk Jeremy Moore. Tucker was driving a Bentley at 109 miles-per-hour on a stretch of road with a 70-miles-per-hour speed limit on April 17 when Georgia State Patrol troopers attempted to pull him over, says Moore. The pursuit lasted for about 10 miles before Atlanta native Tucker stopped, according to Moore. The star later told police he was traveling from Atlanta to Columbia, South Carolina, to go to church.

40 million, what the fuck!? It should be illegal to get paid that much for standing in front of a camera. :p
