If he can somehow play this role without it being Typical Christopher Walken in Dune, then I’ll happily eat crow.

I loved the first one, and Walken has some great earnest performances in his past and some great ironic ones more recently. But I haven't seen him play anything straight in ..... a few decades? And while I love his "look how Christopher Walken I'm being right now" thing in stuff like Man on Fire and The Rundown, I don't want it anywhere near Dune.

Shaddam, while old, is supposed to look young-ish (as in, similar to Leto). Weird choice but i kinda like it. Brings gravitas to a small role.

Check him out in Seven Psychopaths. The whole cast is great in that film, but he and Sam Rockwell in particular are incredible in that film.

I have no news of the production of this film, but the choice of Walken for whatever the role they can imagine is amazing! As we saw with Jungle Book, you can cast Christopher Walken in any role, and the dude will knock it out of the park. So yeah...I'm cool with some desert Walken right know.

Both him and Steve Buschemi both look like theyve been on their deathbed for about as long as I can even remember first seeing them in something haha. These guys are highlanders.
