Let me guess, he is at his birthday party to kill himself in order to stop everything from happening....
Makes no sense why the smiley face only shows up when he's drawing it, but yeah, he shows up at the party years before he even did it.Trailer started interesting but then just got dumb with the horrible unintentional side effects. But he appeared at his birthday without any side effects and that got "etched" in history before they even invent the time machine!

That wasn't a trailer, that was a summary of the first two acts of the film.
I'll watch on Netflix.
What I wished Chronicle was, half found footage half theatrical. Finding reasons for someone to hold a camera in awkward moments kills the movie for me.
trailer felt like one of those company meetings where they discuss some completely different ideas and the guy in charge comes with: "hey you guys seen Primer?".
And then they make a lame rip-off because obviously having a good movie can't be tolerated so it has to be shat upon with a band of teenagers and OMG DRAAAAMAAAA.
Agreed; I'm so fed up with the 'found footage' style where they find tenuous reasons for the characters to be holding the camera. It got pretty bad in Chronicle I thought, near the end whenso they can have shot/reverse shot conversationsAndrew steals all the tourist devices like iPads and whatnot and circles them around himself and Matt

Hot damn. So glad I passed on that one. I would have spent the whole movie wondering whyThe latest Paranormal Activity movie is hilarious because of this (). Guy notices his dog is missing and hears the dog's barking coming from his late neighbour's home. He goes looking for the dog and brings his fucking camera with him (and holds it straight, in front of him, the entire time) because of reasons. :lolit's a hilariously bad movie anyway

Man, that's a really, really creepy scenario seeing your own current self in a very old recording.
i feel like that's how a lot of movies and television shows get made.
"wouldn't __________ be really weird?"
"yeah, how do we pad that out for 90 minutes?"
