Chulip still coming? maybe?

Party Pooper
is this game ever coming out?

1up is saying 4/5/05 now. i've heard a few rumors of Q3, and some sites even saying september(wtf)

ebgames and gamestop have taken the game out of thier databases

natsume hasnt been responding to emails regarding the game, and IronKing on gamefaqs said when he called them the responce he got was "The game is on hold. It may or may not be released." it's also no longer listed on the website

the ONLY thing i could think of that's delaying things...

1UP: Some fans have been concerned that the more risqué elements will be toned down or outright censored for the U.S. version. Are you making any changes to the game to reflect the cultural differences between Japan and America?

Yoshirou Kimura: No, absolutely not.

anyone else have any insight on this?

Natsume has a bad habit of announcing games and never delivering.... I'm still waiting for River King and Wizardry: The Summoning. :/

chulips the one where you going around kissing people right? Looks like a sleeper or massive bomb.

How about that odd GCN game where you get to hold hands? Looks like a sleeper or massive bomb too. :)

I think he's talking about ChunSoft's Home Land... which looks like the best RPG coming out next year imo (next to DQ8 of course).

alright, i've been looking for more info and i keep finding sites listing Chulip as being released 3/23 and published by Crave?

that can't be right can it?

I wish Atlus USA would swoop in and rescue it. I wonder of localization was ever started even? :/

these are the sites so far that have Chulip listed as 3/23 published by Crave... i wouldnt call any of them 'reliable' but info is info nonetheless

is it altogether possible Natsume dropped this and Crave, the masters of the cheap-as-fuck games swooped in?

glad that Chulip's still coming out

Natsume's also releasing Finny The Fish (Uo-7-tsu no Mizu to Densetsu no Nushi) at the end of this month

-After speaking with Natsume's Director of Operations Graham Markay this morning, we've confirmed that Chulip is still on track for a US release. Better yet, it will definitely make it out sometime in 2005

-The American version of the game will boast brand new graphics to localize it better for the US market (the original is decidedly Japanese), and attention to the text translation is being described as "accurately meticulous."

buh? why are they tampering with the graphics? is it 1987, and is chulip an nes game? and it doesn't seem like a game you could easily refine the weirdness out of. it isn't a couple graphics tweaks away from being harvest moon or whatever.

Maybe the graphical tweaks refer mainly to signposts and other things like this in the game. Hopefully they won't mess with things too much, as it would be a shame if this gets butchered somehow. I really enjoyed playing this at E3 and I'm very keen to pick it up!
