cmr and wrc for psp, e3 no shows?

did you miss the other thread? PSP had NOTHING at E3. PSP ROSEBUDDED TOTAL

:lol

i wouldnt go that far. daxter was really really impressive, and there were several other A titles i'm looking forward to that were shown. just not my two most anticipated...

speaking of cmr, i didnt even see codemasters booth this year. someone said they were in kentia hall, :lol

Actually Codemasters had a meeting room in Kentia hall.

I played them both: Toca has 24 cars on track, perfect PS2 port. Colin McRae has really impressive damage. Both ran at 30fps, I'd guess - smooth, anyway.

Whoa nice to hear. All of Codemasters' racing games have run at 60fps this gen. Hopefully that was just alpha/beta.

Any other details about each game?????

What about Devil May Cry?

Heck, was Midnight Club 3 even there? We just recently saw some actual PSP screens, so I assume it's coming along fine.

It just seems like there was a lot missing from the show...

Sadly, 60 fps seems to be quite a battery life killer. :\

Ah yeah, running on PSP at 30fps makes sense...for 24 cars on screen it's worth the sacrifice.

I'd like to know more about their 360/PS3 plans myself...really hoping TOCA 2K6 shows up for the former early next year, though I'll have a hard time passing up on the XBox version until then. As for Colin McRae, I think they should put that series to rest on the current gen consoles...just concentrate on PS3/360 versions.

Checked my notes! It's not 24, it's 20 cars... STILL very impressive, though.

Any other details about each game?????
They didn't have multiple copies, but according to the rep, the games have really good multiplayer options (just ad hoc, to my understanding).

In Toca, you get 12 player wireless multiplayer (just ad hoc, to my knowledge) and in Colin you can play pretty much the same stuff wirelessly as you can play multiplayer in the console version.

I'm really looking forward to these two titles, although the racing overload on the PSP is a bit worrying. Then again, Burnout Legends was really good too, so it's better than [nothing].

And off-topic, Virtua Tennis and Lemmings played really well too, so the European launch is sure to have a brilliant line-up.

any idea on when these games will hit the street?

and has anyone heard anything new regarding wrc?

Ah yes, from the video it seems the physics are still the same. The only thing I can tell that is different is the added falling rocks, and the fistfighting retired drivers and co-drivers. I wonder if that means you can get out and kick your co-driver's ass after you total your car.

WRC: Rally Evolution on PS2 will have a lot of environmental events going on, which sounds good. Plus a more reactive co-driver - though I doubt they have included a Tekken-style mini-beatemup :)

Toca 2006 will be out this autumn on Xbox/PS2/pc, but of the PSP titles there has been no decision yet. They won't be releasing them at the same time, though, and the launch has a lot of driving games (Ridge Racer, WRC, Pursuit Force etc.)
