(CNN)At least 30 people were killed in a car-bomb blast at a market Sunday in Mogadishu, Capt. Abdirisak Mohamed, a senior Somali police officer, told CNN.

Medina Hospital medics said more than 50 people were injured, some critically. Those injured were mostly traders and customers at the market.

The death toll was likely to rise because of the number of seriously injured, Mohamed said.
The dead included soldiers and civilians, he said. The blast occurred at the Kawo-Godey market in Mogadishu's Wadajir district.

I was reading up on Somalia recently and its amazing how they turned the country around from the mess that it was to a functioning government too. Long way to go but still it's an achievement.

It's an insult to the victims of these terrorists and those who fight and arrest them to have them lumped in with the terrorists by attacking all of their religion.

That isn't really about religion though it is more that there is the countries throne and all these groups changing and morphing non the less but still vying to claim it by any means necessary

before Al-Shabaab it was WarLords and rival tribe factions and most members of the militant groups are ill-educated, jobless, youth who were either threatened to join, brainwashed by lies, or fearing hunger due to the southern countries condition and those joined up like a groups of modern day bandits
