2. It was a promotion from the USA network, and it was stickers with a light adhesive, as to not destroy the money.

For one thing, it is against the law to deface currency (see Title 18, Section 333 of the U.S. Code). According to the Treasury Department, messing with money is punishable by a small fine, or even imprisonment of up to six months.

After submitting the idea to the Treasury "with great pride," he wrote, "it took two days and three spokesmen for me to get the official answer."

That response? A resounding no.

1. Yeah I realized that shortly after I posted it.

2. True.

3. Yes, the quotes you used are not talking about this promotion, but the idea of actually printing ads on the bills themselves.

Anyway, mods - lock the thread or something this article is too damn old to waste anymore time over.
