definitely day 1 here, i love the faint, never seen bowie live either. plus franz, interpol, yeah yeah yeahs, phoenix, NIN..wow.
day 2 rocks too. pretty good if true, better than last year for sure.

wow, that's my total dream lineup, both days. sounds waaaaaay too good to be true, but I'll keep hope alive. had a great time last year.

Coachella = Indio, CA. About 2-3 hours east of Los Angeles.

I want to go! I got to wait though to see how my finals sort out. Thankfully this isnt the same weekend as graduation.

Where did all your GAFfers camp out last year? I was at Lake Cahuila...

I should go for my birthday (May 1st). Unfortunately, finals will be around that time (late April for sure) and I dunno exactly when graduation is either. But man it'd be awesome to go.

I was going to go last year, but I was moving like the week after it. Couldn't really fit it in the budget.

Maybe this year, but I'd really like to get to E3 this year, and I wouldn't be able to afford both.

I was lucky, since my friend lived in Hollywood, I went to Coachella and stayed through to E3. I'm not sure if I'll be able to repeat that if he's still abroad.

I'm there for both, even if this list turns out to be a complete lie.

I was turned onto enough cool shit last year to justify the hotel, tickets and food prices.

My friends camped last year. They looked miserable on day two, they only got four or so hours of bad sleep because the sun came up blazing.

Yeah, it was way too hot to camp. The bad was that I was in Palm Springs and it was a bitch to go to and fro from the hotel

we had a large group that rented a house (howard hughes' old house, actually!) in palm springs. much fun.

but yeah, hotel > camp. way too hot.

I think one of the craziest things was how the Coachella people fucked up and led half of us completely to the wrong place to pick up a cab. I ended up walking down some abandoned road in the middle of the desert with two 17-year-old chicks lookin' for a cab.

We finally got to a corner where people were hailing cabs and some dicks had bogarted the cabs and fucked over the two girls. When I called, I asked for the driver I had earlier, so he knew what I looked like and looked for me specifically, so these cab leeches were fucked. But I was a nice guy and split the fare with the two 17-year-old chicks.

I won't be able to go (NJ resident here), but I really, really want to see NIN - thankfully they should be touring next spring, anyway. So i'll still see 'em, probably before Coachella. With a longer setlist. Take that bitches!

I wish Radiohead and Weezer were touring now / soon :(

Maybe they'll have it on April 30th and May 1st, to keep it on the weekend. And that way, you'll be good unless you have Saturday classes.

It's a nice thought, but it'd be crazy to fly out to California for two days, fly back home, take my finals and then fly BACK out to California a week later for E3. I have relatives I could crash with in between Cocahella and E3, but no, screw you BSU.

I drove in from Palm Springs and parked, which was a nighmare the first day. We sat in traffic for hours.

I think I saw you. I was one of those first 100 people at the gate, surrounded by all the dead bodies because the fucking promoters didn't sell water to us until you people parked.

That's terrible. Traffic was so slow that my wife got out of the car, found a bathroom and bought water without us moving an inch.

I liked how water was like currency. After the concert, on the long walk home, I actually saw get head for a bottle of water.

erg...i thought the weather was nice. a good change from all the humidity.

a few weeks after i came back i went to hfs, now that was hell.

i made my friend wear cargo shorts so we were able to buy 10 water bottles and stuff them in the pocekts.
