Coal Chamber

I was once a fan and loved the Chamber Music album. Then, somehow I forgot all about them for 20 years. :lollipop_downcast_sweat:

I may have to see what they've been up to all this time. Thanks for the reminder!

chamber music the one i most remember... might have to look up some of their new stuff then

I'm still a big fan.

I love their third record.

Row Boat is a kick ass track. Superb band. Also love the band Devildriver by their vocalist Dez Fafara.

These guys really seem like the cheesy and insincere version of Korn. Maybe they would have come off better if Ross Robinson had produced their self titled record.

Always loved the video for Loco with the ice cream man forcing people to look through the view master haha

Back when this style (crazy hair, crazy clothes, crazy eyes) was part of punk metal pop music fashion instead of a sign of a person being an unhinged warrior of moral social justice.

Anyway, I still have that music video in some of my VHS tapes back from the days I taped heavy music from TV. Didn't really like the direction metal music was going towards and didn't really like this song either, and I didn't like the "look at us we're craaaaazyyyy" aesthetics of the whole thing. But it was better to have something rather than nothing.
I kinda appreciate the song more now than I appreciated then.

Yeah very much a B tier Nu metal group. Right there with Static X, Mudvayne, and Fear Factory imho

Coal Chamber were pushed hard by Sharon Osbourne for whatever reason and even had a track with Ozzy as a result.

I stick with Deftones, Korn, and Slipknot for this kinda jam. Even Bizkit and Linkin Park. Coal Chamber is pretty forgettable.

Big truck! I like them. They were never going to get big with the kind of music they play. I think their first three albums or so are pretty great. Don't know what they've been up to in the last decade though.

Ahhh. Brings back fond memories. First time I dropped acid was at a Sevendust, Coal Chamber, Powerman 5K show at Emo's. Afterwards we hung around on 6th Street with Dez who was also tripping. I hung out with Dez a few more times over the next couple of years, dude was cool as shit. Meegs was kind of a dick, Mike was pretty chill. Didn't have many interactions with Rayna- I imagine it gets annoying being a chick in that scene. I once got them all to sign a skateboard at a strip club after a show, still have that sumbitch too. Think I might still have a hoodie somewhere asswell.

I still listen to the first two albums from time to time, never bothered with the third. They were a lot of fun live, 18 y/o me loved all that kind of music- simple or not. Still upset I missed seeing a show with Snot, hed (PE) and Soulfly since I was arguing with my ex, Lynn Straight died not too long afterwards so I never got to see Snot live... absolutely loved their album. I've since seen (and hung out with) hed (PE) many times and ofc Soulfly but yeah.

I do like some of Devil Driver's stuff but never felt the urge to go see 'em. Guess the last time I saw Coal Chamber was when they opened up for Anthrax and Pantera back in the day. Good times!
