The good news is that they're building on the foundation of the first one to make it better. The first Code Vein is the only non-From Software Soulslike that I actually liked. So I am cautiously optimistic about this one.
I think the localisation issues, from what I've seen of it, have been hysterical and incorrect. That one line about 'bigotry', would actually translate directly from Japanese to English that way, correctly.Looking forward to playing it, I have a copy on pre-order. I loved Code Vein 1 also, so it's only natural that I got excited when Code Vein 2 was announced. Can't wait to start playing it.
But the more I look into the censorship and the lolcalisation, I might just cancel my order, regardless of how much I want to play it.
I put my money where my mouth is, I cancelled my pre-order. Seems like the localisation is the least of the game's problems.I think the localisation issues, from what I've seen of it, have been hysterical and incorrect. That one line about 'bigotry', would actually translate directly from Japanese to English that way, correctly.
As for the censorship, I realise the silly black spats don't need to be there. Though do realise, for some reason, not all the miniskirts and minidresses have the black shorts underneath, but the rabid censorship people have jumped onto the ones that do. That being said, the outfit you see in my screenshots was also criticized for being 'censored', only because it reveals a miniscule amount less under boob. I find that silly, it's still revealing.
All in all, I think the reaction to the censorship has been over the top with this one.
