Only one game with two ranked teams this week, and its not a conference championship game.

Pretty boring weekend other than USC/UCLA which I doubt will be too good since UCLA sucks at stoping the run.

It does seem that Oregon will get screwed out of a BCS while Notre Dame will get in just because of who they are.

The LSU/Georgia game will really be the game of the week. The Texas and USC games have the potential to be good to watch, but the LSU/Georgia game is the only guaranteed close game.

BUT THEY BOTH LOST. YOU ARE CRAZY SIR! I DONT KNOW WHATS GOING ON.

you just blew my mind. So Oregon and ND should play in the championship game, with the winner playing Fresno St. to determine the champion of the universe?

I would be totally ok with that!

Shit, Texas absolutely OWNS Colorado.

My theory is that the Buffs are trying to help Young win the Heisman.

too late. Reggie Bush has that shit locked up. Seriously, they already gave him the trophy he has it at his house, they just asked him not to tell anybody.

This is just going to turn into one of those 'how long do you leave Young in' games when it's 55-6 or whatever in the second half. I hate that whole conversation, there's never any sort of right answer, but I'm sure Mike Lupica will be OUTRAGED about it tomorrow morning on that 'old guys yell at each other' show on espn.

The MAC game was pretty cool on Thursday. Nice game winning td, but it sort of sucked to see that northern illinois rb's game go to waste. That little guy can run. It's also sort of dumb that they play the MAC game in the Detroit NFL stadium. That place was empty. Like watching a game in a crypt, or one of those kooky european soccer matches where they don't sell any tickets for fear of hooliga'n violence.

Texas which is really known for it's offense is looking like a defensive stud today. It's just silly, and Colorado should be ashamed of itself.

A nationally televised ass-whoopin'. This is probably hurting their recruiting right now.

It's weird -- given how much time he spends with a dildo up his ass, Reggie Bush doesn't seem to run with a noticible limp.

While Texas is known for an impressive Offense, their Defense is in the Top 10 as well. They are pretty solid in all aspects of the game. We all want to see Texas vs. USC, and it's looking like we're going to get that game. It should live up to all the hype.

Vince Young deserves Hesiman hype, and he'll be around next year to get it, but I do think Reggie has it wrapped up. Especially considering the fact that he is having another huge day already today. (172 yards with 14 mins to go in the 2nd Quarter?!?!?!?!)

If I saw a small child dressed in USC colors right now, I swear to non-existent-God that I would kick him right now.

MOTHERFUCKING TROJAN SONS OF FUCKING BITCHES etc.

The games today have absolutely no impact on the Heisman race. The majority of the ballots are long gone. Even if Bush had been contained and made to look a fool against UCLA, causing USC to lose a shot at the national title by fumbling twelve times and running the wrong way for a couple of safeties, he'd still win the trophy because people won't wait until the fucking season is over to cast their votes.

Larry Fitzgerald was hosed! White didn't deserve shit.

It's funny that the two qbs, both highly hyped (especially Olson) haven't amounted to anything in this game. And John Walker actually covered somebody. Shocking.

I have no real preference in the game, but just because I hate all the bandwagon UT fans, I'm going to take USC in the Rose Bowl.

if texas shuts down reggie bush game over for usc... you heard it here bitches :)
If monkies with fists full of cash money fly out my ass I'll buy an X360... you heard it here bitches.

No one has stopped Bush yet this year. In big games and clutch situations he breaks off monster runs like he's taking candy from little babies. Young has good games and bad games, Reggie Bush has "DAMN Bush is the man!" games and "Oh my god is that physically possible? What the fuck?!" games.

No matter what anyone says about defensive comparisions, Leinart, etc. the championship game comes down to two things.

1. Can Texas' D stop Bush from taking yardage at will?
and
2. Can Young match him?

Texas needs to hope both questions are answered "yes" or they'll loose.

Except Cal, Washington State and Washington...

I'm calling it now: Florida St. to upset VT.

:lol :lol :lol Good one.

This SEC game is something I didn't expect. Come on LSU, make this close. I dont Georgia running away with the title after their annual slaughter by the Gators.

I watched that game so I feel pretty confident in saying that was a fluke game by the Gators and by far, BY FAR the worst game of the season for the Bulldogs. If there were a rematch, UG wins by about 30.

14 out of the last 16 meetings of the teams wants to disagree with you. :D

And for the record, having Leinart drop back and throw deep bombs near the end of the 3rd qtr when leading by 39 points is pretty stupid. It's almost like Matt's just trying to increase his own stats for the game so he doesn't look that bad.

My prediction, Leinart is the second or third quarterback drafted this year.

I dont know if people like Cutler can top Leinart in the draft simply because of press, but it would be nice to see it

Hahhaha this is hilarious. I am only watching this game to see Bush, and he hasn't dissapointed, but put him in the game more USC damnit!

Heisman - check
Rose Bowl MVP - Probably
Leading the 49ers to the Superbowl next year? - Priceless (or maybe 50 million) :lol

Not even a little bit of a chance. You'd have to be a fool to pick anybody other than Leinart first(among QBs). I don't know whether he's worth a first overall pick, but he's definately a top-10 guy and the closest thing to a sure-thing QB in the draft. I think he's pretty damned overrated, and to be honest I think it's foolish to invest in a QB with a pick as high as he'll get, but he's the best quarterback coming out.

Who do you pick ahead of him? Vince Young? Jay Cutler? You'd have to be insane.

The only player who could even rightfully compete to be the first QB off the board would be Brady Quinn, and that's just because he's the only other QB who has proven that he can run an NFL-style offense without screwing up. Plus, it's arguable that he's got better pure physical tools than Leinart.

As far as Leinart throwing deep, it isn't as though he's out there drawing up his own plays. A lot of people here have made the observation that it seems USC is playing against Texas right now as much as they're playing against USC, and this is what Texas does each and every week.
