Really enjoyed ASM this week, much better than that "Who Is Ben Reilly?" tripe we were subjected to these past few weeks.

Agreed many times over. And that awesome Joe Kelly backup was a great little treat.

I'd love to see a spiderman mini with kelly and nimura. Oh my god how i'd love that.

To let the other deadpool fans know that this variant for issue 16 is coming out next week :D
already ordered mine from midtown. Had to have it as soon as I saw that cover.

Is that a good GWAH or a bad one?

Posted this on the gaming side, but it's semi-comic related.

Shantae by Art Baltazar! :D

I wish I recorded his commentary while he was drawing this for me. It was hilarious. He kept mentioning how big all the boobs were. :lol

Oh shit. Dr Fate looks good. The green lantern ring looks like plastic

I noticed that too but it's not even done being filmed and they just upped it to a two-hour movie (most likely meaning a budget increase).

I wouldn't be surprised if they added some glowing effects to the ring for when the episode airs. I have a feeling that wasn't the finished ring, but we'll see.

Either way. God damn, looks awesome. The fact that they're even allowing a live action Green Lantern on Smallville with a movie coming out is surprising considering they won't allow Wonder Woman on the show.

I said it before but I'll say it again: who in their right mind in the first few seasons of Smallville ever thought we would eventually get a Justice Society episode, let alone a two-parter?

Pretty amazed at how good this season is considering it's the 9th.

Oh lawdy iz dat sum Doctor Fate?! :O

I want Hawkman to be awesome, but those production stills make my inner Hawkfan weep. :(

Sandman is the coolest looking. Look deep within your heart, you know this to be true.

Afraid to say I'm not overly familiar with him as a character; but I've always thought Doctor Fate had an awesome costume. :)

He was awesome voiced by Oded Fehr in JLU.

I don't know if this is the right topic for this, but I thought it was noteworthy. If you're a fan of The Red Star and want the trade paperbacks, Archangel Studios is offering the complete set of volumes 1-4 softcover or hardcover for $100 or $200. The hardcover for volume 3 is nearly impossible to find and volume 4 is brand new.

Wow. He misspelled Shantae.

Dr. Fate is indeed an amazing design, especially his new underoos-free one in JSA now.

But Sandman is one of the most underutilized characters DC has imo. The original guy's look is awesome, the current one should adopt it more:

I love the design because it's functional, plausible and mysterious all at the same time. It just screams crime noir, which is perfect for a golden age mystery man.

I recall the Vertigo series from back when I worked a comic shop and it was coming out. His current look is kind of odd, in a way that my mind doesn't really grasp his mask design all that well. :P
