There are so many that out shine the terrible ones that are forced like Superman/Lois, Jean Grey/everybody, Misty/Sam.

One of my favorite and the favorite of the seven people that read The Outsiders. Was Halo and Katanna, I think they were really going for a lesiban relationship but couldn't relaly do that the time

Damn you know shit is real when Batman wants to play wingman

Lowkey the first issue cover was gold. "Fuck you lames I am going to hang with the realness of Geo-Force and Metamorpho"

Peter Parker and Anna Maria Marconi . Dan "The Gawd" Slott, aka Dan "Twitter's Scourge of the Underworld" Slott aka Dan "The White Shy" Slott killed it with them

Even if I don't care for its nonsensical plot, I've always loved how Hush was more about Batman's relationship with Catwoman and why it fails.

I liked Wolfsbane's flirtation with Doug in New Mutants.

Captain America's date with Diamondback as done by Mark Gruenwald.

And Spoiler's relationship with Robin in Robin.

My favorite comic book relationship of all time was ruined by Joe Quesada. Thanks, Joe!

I thought Halo was Katana's way of getting over the death of her children. It's why she's so broken up when Halo's real family shows up later in the series.

I really liked Cyclops and Emma Frost as a couple. A hard man and an even harder woman, both able to give it as hard as they could take it, both fully aware of each other's faults and inner darkness, helping each other lead their people through some of their darkest times.

Also somewhat in the vein of the first post, I totally ship Anole and Rockslide. There were just too many comments here and there joking about it and it was cute seeing them respond to that, even if there really was nothing there but friendship.

Luke Cage and Jessica Jones are way up there too

Daredevil + anyone.

Because tragic romances are my favourite.

Oh man the love triangle/quadrangle in the Typhoid Mary storyline and everything with Milla Donovan. People should just stay away from Matt Murdock lol

Wilson and Vanessa Fisk is a really good tragic pairing too

Yeah, I like Anna-Maria a lot as a character and her relationships are as interesting as they can be.

This is all off the top of my head. :

Rachel Rising: I really liked Jet and Earl, as it's a bit non conventional.

Invincible: say what you want about Kirkman and the hoops his characters go through, but Mark and Eve are interesting and they face some pretty heavy trials.

Bendisverse: Jessica and Luke are pretty fucking great together, through Alias, The Pulse and New Avengers. I love how their relationship is always seen equally from both their points of views, and how at some point after Civil War it was essentially the backbone to New Avengers.

Brubaker's Cap : Cap and Sharon are often a good pairing, but the one relationship that I really loved was Black Widow and Bucky, as it is the tragic cement of the later part of his run (including his Winter Soldier series).

I also don't like Sharon and Cap because that is Sharon's only reason for existing.

Cap/Diamondback forever

Kimber/Stormer. Fight me, GAF.

While not as epic as some of the others posted here, l really like the whole 'our respective circle of friends hate each other's guts but damn it we're gonna make it work' angle these two have going for each other. The comic hasn't paid as much attention to them as I would like, and sometimes I worry if their relationship can make that dangerous crossover from NRE hotness to long-term serious thing. Would they still work without the taboo element of their respective bands being mortal enemies? Not sure. Hope the series last long enough to find out.

Also: Just LOOK AT THEM!

JUST LOOK.

CUTE AF.

For me Spider-Man and MJ are a package deal .My prime reading years were with them trying to make ends meet and dealing with her career, Peter's superheroics and all the insecurities and conflicts that went along with them. I like them both far less when they're apart. I'm really hoping One More Chance turns out well and sticks around since I don't have anything else Spider-Man related to look forward to at this point.

Yeah, I agree she and a lot of female love interests are often there as props to somehow enhance the guy, and it's often apparent how much the writers have no idea what to do with them besides just being there and being a cause for worry or revenge.

This reminds me of my favorite recent relationship in a comic book: Matt Murdock and Kirsten McDuffie. Much like the book itself, it manages the great balancing act of being light hearted while acknowledging how really fucking dark and grim Matt's world can get. I loved this relationship first and foremost because I loved Kirsten as a character. This was such a great book.
