Selfishly plays on Xbox Purr-ies X
Great selection, but not much for me.
I own SOMA and it is SOOOO good. I own Amnesia on Switch and it pretty good too. No interest in Weebsona, but I know a lot of other people are excited for it. I'll have to check out some of the others maybe I'll find a hidden gem.

Reminds me that I was going to play SOMA this year for spooky reason.

Pretty dope, I like that there is an overall horror theme for October.

Signalis and Gunfire Reborn are the most interesting for me, although I’m considering doing P5R since I only did the base version.

Good list.

Not into horror walking sims so maybe won't play.

Not an issue, already have enough games to last a year installed on SSD.

I have a few hours on P5R on PS4 but I'm going to start a new game cause nothing will ever beat playing this game on a Steam Deck.

Yes, this is another "STEAM DECK IS THE BEST" post. Hate me.

Soma and Amniesa greeeeeat gets. Hope people give soma a try. One of the best horros of last gen.

Persona is a great game for mobile play. Good to play for a few minutes knock out a day or two then get back to what you were doing.

PS. Since release Soma also added the option to make the enemy encounters not happen, i-e you can just focus on the story.

I feel like Microsoft shoots themselves in the foot sometimes.

October has been an excellent month for games pass.

But they are showing off the second half off game pass and for some strange reason plague tale Requiem isn't in the picture (probably the most anticipated game this month for game pass, next to persona 5 royal)

Most people will only look at the picture and not the post listed by op. :)

Maybe I'm just old, but I have no idea how people can enjoy mobile gaming.

I got gamepass ultimate, and tried to play Stardew Valley. My fingers are blocking 40 percent of the screen and touch controls feels so bad.

I have found the touch controls to be very good for some games. Maybe you just need a bigger screen?

Got a Huawei p20.

Have also tried to play mobile games on my iPad once. Same outcome. Especially games for aiming.

What’s GAF’s opinion on Persona 5? Worth a month of gamepass? Used to love JRPGs when I was a kid but have a hard time staying engaged as an adult. Game looks amazing nonetheless.

It’s really good, very stylish and casual-friendly.

I personally think P4G is a better package overall but you can’t go wrong with P5, especially for cheap. Don’t expect to finish it in one month as it is a VERY long game.

Persona 5 will launch with touch controls day 1.

Fantastic news for on-the-go folks who like using Xcloud on their phones.

Some of the games are tricky on a phone.. I tried grounded last night and it’s playable but not great.

Do you think this will be good?

Probably better than most as its a turn based JRPG and 90% of the non combat game play is just navigating through menus.

It depends on the game. The best examples are ones with native touch so you dont need the UI overlay. But works more like a Nintendo DS. I think theyre only used by visual novels like Danganronpa now but in those cases its brilliant.

Sometimes the game has a setup that initially seems weird, with the buttons not aligning with a controller. Like Ni No Kuni where the Y and X are in completely different places but I guess its to make the game more playable like this.

Apple10R

So X is the spellbook and Y is the main access to inventory and all your stuff. Which you dont need most of the time.

I still use a controller for the boss fights though. They can get a bit hectic with several characters and spells and switching summons in and out.

This month is banging. Surprised Signalis is on there, I was gonna buy that one. Can't wait to dive in on P5R, plus plenty of other titles this week. But I'm going to drop most for Star Ocean and CoD MP, oh yeah and RE Village 3rd person+daughter dlc.
And maybe I'm crazy, I don't think it'd be supported without a proper monitor or even system limitations, but is this true? Granted its not exactly pushing much but neat to see.

Oh well it's shit for action heavy games especially 1st person, but works well for slower paced games and definitely for turned based.

Yeah those work, I’ll give it a go.

I’ve been playing As Dusk Falls on my phone and that works well.

Once Persona 3 Portable comes out, that game will be extremely well since its interface is also somewhat tailored to small portable devices anyway.

After looking up Phantom Abyss, I actually think it could be genuinely interesting/fun :)

Will definitely give it a go!

Just finished Diofield Chronicles what I loved, and I'm doing a chapter a day on As Dusk Falls with my partner what we are both really enjoying a lot!

& For my single player game I've just started no more heroes 3 :)

I feel quite bad writing off As Dusk Falls intially as I wasn't keen on the look, but playing it first hand it has really grown on me, and the characters and story seems really interesting.

Never tried Xcloud, I have an hinch for my mobile phone and a controller but I might try the touch control, it would be even faster. Now I just hope it has cross progression.

Yeah, Xcloud stuff has cross progression with console to my recollection.

By the way nice to see so many games are also coming to pc.

Nice to see the pc library catching up to the console library.

You can always compensate with the cloud. I know, it’s not the same, but it’s something if you really want to play a particular game that’s not in the PC catalog.

Yeah, it's pretty good on touch devices (played a bit on the surface pro via the browser with touch). Think they have also added alot of cool options to make it work for players using touch. Hopefully now they can just get more games out quicker

Now I just hope it has cross progression.
It probably will do, haven't come across an example where it doesn't.

Don't feel bad. Pretty much everybody i know (including me) felt this way. I have some issues with the last chapter (writing and characterisation mostly) but it is hard to deny that it is an excellent and in many ways unique game.

It's been such a genuine surprise, we just finished chapter 3 and we looking forward to playing more either tonight or tomorrow :)

I hope more people give the game a blast/I've recommended it to a few people :)
