Lighter month all around, but still good enough. I can't keep up with all these CoD games. I still need to play BO6, MW2, now WWII. Then BO7 end of the year? Geez. Will be a multiplayer focused drop for me I guess with FBC and Rematch. I'll try Volcano Princess if that is actually on console. I've never really gotten into city builders so not expecting Against the Storm to click for me, but I'll try it sometime.

Next month looks decent already.
July 11 THPS 3+4
July 23 Wheel World
July 24 Wuchang
July 29 Grounded 2

Little Nightmares 2 I will play. It's been years since I played the first one.
Volcano Princess? Is this a spinoff of that dino highschool game?

This dripfeed of CoD is bizzare. They add Blops 6 but not Cold War, they add MW2 but not MW1, now they add WW2...nonsense release strategy.

How long are they gonna tease me but not put up the best modern CoD campaign, Infinite Warfare, up on GP?

Also, that's a lot of Warcraft. I don't think I've ever really played WC1 or 2, might as well check them out now.

Assuming WC3 is the crappy re-release, not the original.

MTX. They release older, better versions of COD they lose players from the latest monetised one. Got to be careful the don't cannibalise the best money maker.

Wouldn't surprise me if they figured out a way of releasing "classic battle pass" or some nonsense for these drops.

Odd the picture doesn't include Crash Bandicoot 4 and Lost in Random's roguelike spin-off. Both also in this drop. Guess it's today along with FBC.

I had no idea Wheel World existed. We need more cycling games, but yeah, the art style is atrocious. Same reason why I didn't even give Riders Republic a chance.

Rider's Republic is pretty awesome honestly. Anything extreme sports can be cringe, but it's genuinely fun. I think it's still on GP so I would encourage you to try it.

Wheel World I still don't know what it is but I've been looking forward to it since the first trailer when it was Ghost Bike. I liked the art style well enough. I still don't know exactly what to expect but that can be good sometimes.

The worst fortnight in a long time. So far, the next one has been better than the previous one. I'm guessing that with summer coming the cadence in GP releases will be other.

On the downside, I'm gaining some time to finish a huge number of games I'm interested in. 😅

I was thinking about giving RR a second chance, maybe it will happen one day. I usually don't cancel games from my list just because of their style or graphics, but I still have my taste and limitations. And I can't stand Ubisoft's teenager aesthetic.

Do the old games even have multiplayer servers up and running? I can't imagine there is a player base big enough to threaten BO6 in any way

Of course they do.

They still maintain servers and lobbies for the X360 Blops games, for reference.

Most of the games are playable with games easy to get as far as Im aware. Didn't they fix the OG MW2 servers not too long ago?

Maybe one title alone wouldn't threaten BO6's bottom line too much but releasing the most popular titles into GP in one go would have a negative ROI for them for sure.

For a split second I thought WOrld of Warcraft was added to Gamepass. If that was the case, then I legit could see some movement in those numbers.

COD WWII made me appreciate first person shooters. I don't play them much but I was pretty hooked on the campaign in that one.

As someone who owns WWII I would rather see them add Vanguard, a game that I don't own.

Against the Storm looks awesome from the videos I have seen but also not a game I would play off the bat. Need to be in a certain mood.

Little Nightmare 2 is good, not much of an improvement over the first but good nevertheless if you are into that kind of a thing. Just as creepy too.

Curios about Rematch.

I still play the old cods on Xbox. Mostly because the PC clients are overran by modded servers. (The new MW2/MW3 remaster client is pretty good though) I just want vanilla COD. They're all pretty active, some you have to be on at certain times like COD4 and WAW. MW2 and BO1 are popping 24/7. BO2 is hit or miss with infection modders. Mostly just play that on PC.

Not their strongest lineup this time but hard to complain after the last few drops.

If you added wow to gamepass you would absolutely see a many new PC gamepass subs. They need buy-in on gamepass from PC gamers most of all so they should do this.

The reason they drip feed shit is the same reason big TV shows make you wait a week between each episode.

Don't sleep on Lost in Random. Didnt click for me at first but the combat is actually really solid once you get used to it. You have to use the dice a lot and always look for the flashing red attack indicator on enemies.

Surprised how tough this first boss is ...

Graphics and art style are good. Like top down 3D Hades.

Best the 1st boss. Honestly probably the best roguelike of this type since Hades. Lots of permanent progression. The power up system is varied and fun with the board and color matching. The combat is always fair. I either get massacred or clear rooms without even getting hit. Lots of story though the world is mostly just silly. Its really good. The dice throw never gets old since you get unique effects depending on the random number you get. Definitely buying this.

Well, hello fellow CoD campaign connoisseur! Infinite Warfare was very good as a shooter campaign and its a crying shame we won't see more of that. Its my favorite CoD campaign by far, and I like it more even vs CoD 4 OG! That said, its been on Steam for like $10 or $15 and I have a physical Xbox disk I picked up long time ago for not much more than that.
