Idea Factory International that it will localize the upcoming roguelike RPG Death end re;Quest: Code Z for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in 2025. Physical and digital launches are planned, as well as a limited edition.

This Compile Heart RPG features character designs by Kei Nanameda and scenario supervision by Corpse Party writer Makoto Kedouin. Plus, an English dub will be present.

Iris was born in World DE-1, a world mirroring Earth in the 2000s. Her birth led to several tragic loops that Arata Mizunashi and his team solved. This gave Iris some goodwill, causing her to create a copy of the world named World DE-1.5.
“Here, feuds gave way to friendship, each person a perfect cog in a perfect world. But a new crisis threatens the peace…”

However, when a mysterious man appears with a group that looks identical to the world’s former heroes, the new protagonist, Sayaka Hiwatari, chooses to confront this evolving strife. Alas, friend and foe are seemingly impossible to differentiate.
Gameplay-wise, Code Z is a roguelike RPG that differs from the turn-based RPG format of the past two games. Occurring in the Strain Area, this 3D dungeon alters its structure upon each visit, with changing terrain, enemies, traps, and items.

The opening theme, “Over my DEAD copy,” is sung, composed, written, and arranged by Gesshoku Kaigi. The ending theme, “Zion,” is also sung, composed, written, and arranged by Gesshoku Kaigi.

Death end re;Quest Code Z will be rated CERO Z in Japan due to intense depictions of violence and death that players of the first two games should be familiar with.

Death end re;Quest Code Z is planned to be released in Japan for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on September 19, 2024.

In the first game they were in a simulation or MMO, IIRC.

I think the sequel was sort of a mixture between simulation and the real world.

I wonder how they'll handle the spin-off?
