Compromises?

Its come to my attention that in another thread there's the "PC not dying" proof at GS, and that a PC developer said "no console ports, because we don't want any compromises" to BioShock.

So, it got me wondering, what's the response to that? I mean, should there be more developers like that, or not? I mean, the thread starter in the GS thread, said there should be more developers like that. So what is your general response?

Do compromises please you, or do they piss you off in the fact that they sacrifice some features for better overall gameplay?

Should there be more developers with this kind of mindset to create more sales for the PC arena, or should there be more developers like Valve - Making a great game, and turn it into a compromising project, bringing revenue?

I think there should be more of these developers in next gen consoles. I mean, all of these multiplatform console games are driving gamers nuts, on getting all three consoles. I bet theres a hundred stories about this strong belief - but generally, more consoles mean more headache for some people. That's another story for another time. Perhaps E3?

Back to the original discussion: Compromises? Thoughts?

Maybe i'm wrong, but I don't think you got what they are talking about...

Compromises to make it work on a console in addition

I took it as compromises in pleasing the audiences in the console arena.....I guess...

Hmmm.....

Every company makes compromises for the lure of $$$. Personally if there is a better or even dead-set original version of said game, I will go for it. It depends entirely upon the consumer and their demands.
