Fact: I know little about computers
Help me out fellas. I've got around a $400 or so budget (not including shipping costs) and I'm looking for a barebone kit. Basically I want something that'll mainly be used for school/internet/porn/etc as well as casual gaming - WoW, maybe TF2/Half Life, etc.
I'm looking at a couple kits and need some opinions on them

Lots of good stuff for a good price, although it doesn't come with a dvd drive or OS. I'll be able to acquire an OS, and I'm guessing I can just take the dvd drive out of my old computer and put it in this one (or have a tech do it). It doesn't come with a cpu fan (is that a red flag?) so I'll just buy one, as well as a 120mm fan.

This one comes with a dvd drive but no graphics card - I'd just buy a 8600 GT. The problem I see with this one is that the mobo only supports 2G of RAM. Would there be any way to get around that without buying a new motherboard?
Any advice on these two, or maybe another good kit (or refurbished computer, basically something around $400)?
