I posted eariler stating that I had internet issues that were solved... until now....

Every single time I turn on my PC, it tells me that my ethernet cords are disconnected. However, they are not... and on the back of my PC the light showing a connected wire is lit. Go over to my router (D-link 604) and the port where my wire is plugged into is not lit. After about... 2-4 minutes, it suddenly works, and my speed and everything is just fine.

As for the other computer on the network, as the very same time my issues started, this has a networking issue as well. On every start up, a warning message stating that the computer may not be able to access the internet, or that internet speeds will be extremely slow....

GA forum members, if anyone has any ideas.... please help.... =(

Tomorrow I am trying: 1) new wires, 2) defragging, 3) Complete spy-ware and virus scans.

However I keep my PC's pretty well clensed, I dont think those are the problem =(

The spyware/virus scans and defragging aren't going to solve it, the first thing I'd suggest doing is upgrading the firmware for your router.

it's probably somewhere weird on the NIC end of the connection. try: different wire, different nic

any other hosts connected to the router?

Listen to teh DJ. Flash the firmwares!!@

Besides, it's a D-Link. D-Links are known to be flakey pieces of crap. I'd say the fault is on the D-Link just by reputation before I'd get too involved in NIC troubleshooting.

You misspelled "Linksys." ;)

Flashed the firmware. ( same version i already had on it ) and i got nothing, same issue.

Thanks for the idea though,

Any other thoughts? I am gonna try another new wire in a little while

I'm not sure why but that message seems familiar, what OS are you running? Do you have a firewall on that PC?

As for the first problem, I don't know. Are you sure the LED is on on the NIC? Most network cards I've seen have 2 LEDs. Have you tried using other ethernet ports on the router? Using that same port on another PC? Hook up your PC to something else(the other PC maybe) and see if it works fine, that way you can eliminate your NIC as the problem.
