They like to pretend RE6 and all the movies he stars in don't exist. Not to mention continued exposure with RE2R and RE4R. Dude is oversaturated. I'd rather have Sheva Alomar as they are underused. And many want more Jill Valentine. It would be more interesting to me if they brought in the Revelations originals like Parker or Jessica Sherawat over Leon.

That said since Leon is here....Ada Wong won't be too far behind either.

Dude has been in games canon 3 times. No, the movies don't count. Most people don't care about some extremely mid CGI movies. We want to play as him in a new game with new story developments.

Jill has been in RE1, RE3, RE5, Rev, and one remake. Leon has been in RE2, 4, 6, and two remakes.

That means Jill has the same amount of games, AND more canon appearances in games. If he's oversaturated, so is she.

Assuming those are legit though. That's what they put out before his reveal, and he's on the preorder page. They also still haven't put out the collectors edition yet. Chances are the actual box art gets updated everywhere like it is on the preorder page after the TGA reveal.

There is no shot of them not featuring their money maker on the physical box art.

Me personally I think he's a fucking retard. Just because Isaac saw some shit in DS1 didn't make DS2 less scary. It's about tension, sound, atmosphere, etc to create horror and fear.

It might have more weight if the game was like Amnesia: The Bunker(you get a Pistol here too but using it is against your better judgment), Alien Isolation or the very recent Routine where fighting should be an absolute last resort in a game where you are largely defenseless.

And we also can clearly see in promo material Grace is getting an Uzi submachine gun...so I expect it to be another actiony horror shooter for a majority of it's playtime.
