Conker delayed until May?!

goddamn it. Just release Jade Empire and Conker in a double pack next week with a note that says "Gone to work on Xenon!!! See you then!" and I can be happy.
 
Lots of March games do end up delayed. The reason so many titles are scheduled for March in the first place is because it's the last month of the fiscal year. In most cases, "March" means "We're gonna miss Christmas, but we figure if we crunch for four months straight we can squeeze in one more SKU before we tally up the books."

This often turns out to be overly ambitious. Look at the other March titles on EB Games' site (something like a hundred and sixty of 'em) -- lots of those will end up pushed back coughNARCcough.
 
I was going to post something about this being the most unsuprising move of 2005, but it would be both witless and redundant.

This is pretty fucking ridiculous. Rare has been working on this remake since they joined MS in late 2002. wtf? :lol

I just hope Jungle beat isn't one of these titles that get delayed.
 
This would suck if its true, I was under the impression this game is actually finished and was finished last fall but MS knew it wouldn't sell for shat going up against Halo 2 AND mech assualt 2 so they pushed it to spring.


On the plus side I guess I have more time to catch up on my backlog.

What's to delay? The game's done, all Nintendo has to do is switch out the Japanese for English.

As for Conker, what's taking so long? The graphic overhaul, or the new multiplayer modes?

good ole Rare ..... :lol

I think rare deserve to be sold to EA, so some people could pressure them to actually meet deadlines.
 
I seriously wonder what's taking it so long. I'm assuming the Live portion is still incomplete?

Man, this sucks. This game was definitely my most anticipated Xbox game of 2005.
 
I think Rare is trying to compete with 3DRealms (Duke Nukem Forever) for the most "What the fuck?!" delays.

Sometimes things are understandable like with the Half-Life 2 delays, but other times it seems like dev houses must be run at an insane level of inefficiency. The single player portion of the game was content-complete nearly 4 years ago....and they still can't get the remake finished!
 
I submitted Kameo for the Wired News 2004 Vaporware Awards. I'm not involved in the decision-making process so I figure it probably won't make it. But haven't we pounded on Duke Nukem Foreverandeverandever long enough?

It's sad that they've been pretty much working on the same game since 1995/1996, with a yearlong break.

What would be sadder still is if Conker X meets the same fate as Conker 64. I'll do my part to help out though, just as I did in 2001.
 
I heard conker was done for 2004, as unbelievable as that sounds. I think this is MS just trying to spread their few remaning Xbox titles out to make it look like they still care.

Ugh. Then move Conker up and delay Forza. I don't care about racing games. Just gimme a good Rare game. GIMME GIMME GIMME!

I really hope not :( Conker is a fantastic game and this remake plus all new multiplayer looks sweet!!

WTF is with Rare's shithouse output in the last 5 years? The only games they've released outside of Star Fox Adventures and Grabbed by the Ghoulies are fucking SNES DKC ports and a few other shitty GBA games! What the hell has happened to them? How do they even make money? I used to love Rare :(
 
And how many damn years have they been working on Perfect Dark Zero?? Initially a GameCube LAUNCH title :lol :lol :lol

And Kameo?
 
Kameo was planned as a N64 game, but was never announced for that system. They made some work on the N64 version in 99/00.
 
Rare are just farcial now.

Give them all their P45's and hand out the IPs to other developers like Eidos did with Tomb Raider.
 
I may as well just open up the N64 version I still have in shrink wrap. RARE and father time don't mix.

Microsoft must be really mad, I am sure they bought Rare to have PD0 as the xbox 2 launch game and it looks like they dont even make it until then.
 
This is the post where I make some joke about Rare being slow and stuff. I think this game is going to be a Xenon launch title.
