The only thing that bugs me in this whole PC vs Console debate is the false argument that PC gaming requires hours of tweaking and fiddling with hardware and driver settings. It's like saying you have to be a mechanic to own a car.
I think people read posts from people talking about tweaking and replacing hardware, overclocking, adjusting driver configurations, and messing around with detail settings constantly assume that is something you have to do as a PC gamer, which is just flat out wrong. The people who spend a bunch of time tweaking their PC are min/maxers who ENJOY that stuff. They're akin to gear heads who are constantly working on their perfectly functional vehicle.
I built my current PC in 2011, other than 3 upgrades (a 970, a 2nd SSD, and 1080) and an air dusting every few months, my PC has just sat there doing it's job since day 1. I have a stock cpu cooler and never bothered overclocking, it's also really quiet, much quieter than my PS4. Every couple months I push a button and update my video card drivers. I will put money down that I can buy an identical cross platform game on Steam and be playing it before it even starts installing on your PS4 or Xbox, thanks to Steam utilizing the capacity of my internet connection.
