Cordless phone recommendations?

I need to buy some expandable 5.8 GHz phones. I've heard that 2.4 GHz can interfere with other wireless stuff, so I'm steering clear of it. I'm going to start off with 3 phones, and adding a possible 4th later, if I think I need it. Any recommendations?

I'm thinking about getting the VTech i5867:

I like that you can transfer different pics (256 color display) and and ringtones to it from your computer. And the VTech is cheaper than similar Panasonic and AT&T color models. Has anyone used this one, or other VTech phones? Or is there something better/different that I should consider?

As far as I know, Siemens are the best when it comes to cordless phones. I've had no problems with them. Great sound too.

I've had the most success with panasonic and Siemens. Avoid sony, if they still make cordless phones.

Hmm, I've had a Sony for the past 3 years, and I think it's one of the better cordless phones I've used. I'm replacing it because it's not expandable, and I'd like to move up to 5.8 (better quality and security). Also, I don't see any 5.8 GHz Siemens at Amazon. Do they make any?

try to get a phone where you can place cordless phones all over your place with only 1 base.

I've had good success with Panasonic phones. Siemens phones aren't prevalent here so I can't comment. As for Sony phones, they aren't manufactured anymore.

I can only say that I had no problems with my Vtech for the year I used it - although I'n cell-only now, so it's packed away somewhere.

Yeah, that's what these VTech phones are. I guess 'expandable' is the term. It's a great feature, as you don't have to worry about where you hang up each phone. They're all interchangeable.

Yeah, I did like the Panasonics that I looked at. But they're more expensive than the VTech, so I'm still favoring them.

I own a Sony one and has been great for more than 5 years already. I had to change the battery once, but other than that, it's been near flawless.

I used to work at best buy I have to say vtech as a whole is garbage the best thing to do is buy a panasonic and buy the service plan cause they are really worth it on phones. If you wanna be cheap I say go with a uniden those things if you get the right model last for friggan ever and they take a huge beating.
