Crappy trailer ahoy: Wes Craven's next movie, "Red-Eye"

I mean, WTF? This starts out looking like a romantic comedy; then whoever edited this tried to make it look like a horror movie of some sort, all while completely failing to reveal just what the hell the actual premise is. Apparently, it's in fact a thriller:

Lisa Reisert (Rachel McAdams) hates to fly, but the terror that awaits her on the night flight to Miami has nothing to do with a fear of flying. I saw the trailer for the first time today and I didn't think it was a horror. I suspected it was a thriller when the guy showed up at that coffee shop (or where ever she saw him for the second time).

It just made me go: "OK...so what is this movie REALLY about?"

Could be cool. The trailer is deceptive, but since I know the premise I think it shows some promise. I've liked Cillian Murphy in everything I've seen of his, so that's a plus. Brian Cox also appears. Can't say I'm familiar with McAdams. At the very least the trailer is pretty slick albeit pretty misleading.

This is one of two thrillers this year that take place on a plane. Jodie Foster's new film involves her daughter mysteriously disappearing while they're on a flight. After that, there's Snakes on a Plane too, which I'm sure will be the best of the three...

It's nice to see a trailer that doesn't reveal the entire plot within it's 30 seconds.
This is a suspense film people.....

That is a horrible trailer...The trailer assumes that we know what the heck his red eye is supposed to mean...But we don't. For all I know watching that trailer, he is a rapist.

I think the title Red Eye refers to their late night flight.

I'll see it because I really like Cilliam Murphey, but that's it.

I like the trailer. Its nice to see a trailer actually deceive the audience instead of spoon-feeding them the entire story beforehand.

That trailer cracked me the fuck up. :lol

Seems like a stupid romantic comedy with that dumb romantic comedy music in the background and then suddenly... "what do you do?" *CUE TERROR MUSIC* His eye turns Red... and WTF?!?!? :lol

That fucking music made me choke I was laughing so hard. I want to see peoples reaction to this trailer at the theater, I can imagine a lot of "Dude, WTF" looks :lol

Oh, and the movies premise sounds weak. It would've been cooler if he was like... Satan or something.

Well for one he would use his evil Satanic powers not conventioal weapons as a lousy assassin would. I hope there's a blood orgy on the plane. With Snakes.

:lol I had that EXACT same moment with my friends when we saw the preview. Still cracks me up when I think about it.

Hrm.. I like the trailer -- although, Cilliam Murphy creeped me out from the get go, I as expecting something sinister when they chance met on the plane again. I'm guessing it's a manifestation of death coming to bring them to hell..... ON TIME.
