Sincerity that isn't depressing or destructive in rock music is ridiculed. Creed is a victim of that. That or people think Scott Stapp is insincere and/or pompous.

Nah, I’ll always associate Creed’s “Higher” with Titan AE due to the marketing using it so much (despite not actually being used in the film itself) which makes for a kick ass combo. I like to visualize it with Disney’s Treasure Planet and the anime Outlaw Star as well, I just find it goes so well with animated sci-fi that prioritizes adventure and a sense of wonder over realism and such.
