Or is it just one of Adam's balls in my throat?
- Crimson Desert on PS5 and PS5 Pro offers three display modes: Quality, Balanced, and Performance.
- Quality mode offers higher settings for lighting, level of detail, texturing, vegetation, and water quality.
- The PS5 applies more significant setting reductions in Performance Mode compared to the PS5 Pro.
- The biggest difference lies in Ray-Tracing lighting. The PS5 makes a considerable cutback in this area in Performance Mode.
- PSSR still has room for improvement with this game on the PS5 Pro, producing a slightly washed-out image compared to the PS5 at times.
- As for performance, I'm pleasantly surprised. The PS5 can reach peaks of approximately 80 fps in Performance Mode, while the PS5 Pro ranges between 90–100 fps.
- The Blackspace Engine shows very good optimization on both consoles. Pearl Abyss has done a great job.
