Curse ye gods! And Dogs! >:|

Of all the stupid god damned things, I'm actually considering purchasing a NintenD00DS to play GBA games. The absurd price for Nintendo's bargain basement hardware in a fancy new packaging for the GBAm pushed the DS into the lead.

EB, hate them as I do, currently has a trade-in deal where you get an additional $5 credit for any game you trade in so long as you trade in more than five. So in theory, I could save a bunch of money off of a used NintenD00DS and be able to pass the time at the f@cking bus stop waiting on the completely garbage local public transport. Maybe it would help if this city weren't laid out by hillards that just paved the old cattle paths.

Stupid Cleveland! >:(

Normally this would be a time I'd reply with some rhetoric like "anyone who buys a DS is fueling an oncoming video-game market crash and/or the death of home consoles", but nobody believes me :(

Seriously, though, if you really want Nintendogs, just d/l Dogz the screen saver and yell at it every now and then. There's your game.

e: oh, and you don't need to support Nintendo's theory that having multiple handhelds from a single company is a good idea for videogames. They're GBA games; they deserve to be a secondary priority.

I don't know what the fuck you are talking about, but holy shit, EB is giving $5 extra credit for EACH game over 5 games? Is there any limit to the amount of games, or the games themselves, or the system? I think this may be prime time to off my SP and a dozen or so GBA games I've been meaning to eBay. Also, does this stack with the EB Edge card's extra 10% credit?

Actually - I was cursing you! You sir! I just screwed up with the "s" instead of the "$". ;)

No, I'm not interested in NintenDogs. I just want to play Sigma Star Saga, and of the available shitty options that allow such an action, the NintenD00DS is actually the least offensive of the lot.

I can buy a GBA for $15, but it's not worth it as the screen is total shit and I haven't harnessed the power of the sun (although my rectum is coming close lately) to permit me to see the screen.

The GBA Service Pack is a bit nicer, but still suffers from visibility issues due to Nintendo's infinite wisdom in choosing front lighting over back lighting.

FOOL ME A THIRD TIME, SHAME ON ME!

The GBAm would have been nice if Nintendo weren't the greedy wankers they are. I am not paying $100 for that piece of kit, maybe with gratuitous oral from Super Rosario Dawson if she promised not to laugh at my penis; but even then - I'd have to mull it over.

The GBA player could have been a nice option if it didn't have that annoying screen scrolling retardation. Drinky Crow can better articulate this problem.

It just seems that aside from a home console design that runs circles around the N64, Nintendo is hell bent on finding a single stupid means of pissing me the hell off with all of their hardware this generation.

I reckon a touch screen I'll never use is the small price to pay for the ability to comfortably see the games I want to play on the go. :/

I'd love to get a PSP, but lack of funds overall and no Sigma Star Saga pretty much eliminate it from the running. Not to mention I don't feel like getting jumped.

Maybe once I obtain a concealed carry permit.

Also, does this stack with the EB Edge card's extra 10% credit?

Here's the fine print:

Cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion. Customers may be responsible for sales tax in some states. Not valid at EBGAMES.com. See Sales associate for complete details.

They're also offering:

Extra $15 trade-in credit when you trade in:

GBA and three games, or GBAsp and one game.

There are no particular exclusion by system on the brochure. You had better just call. I didn't think to ask as I've got a stack of PS2 games I'm looking to unload.

Hmm.. the $5 each would be much more beneficial, do you know if GBA games are accepted in that deal?

Nope. Which sucks, as I've got 7 unopened GBA games that I've been procrastinating about getting rid of.

Thanks. I'll give em a call tomorrow, I'll be delighted if it works with GBA games too. :) I'll probably give my console collection a look over for more stuff to unload if so, too. :D

So - uh, what comes with a NintenD00DS?

I'll be getting about $65 in trade credit from EB and I want to make sure I'm not getting raped on a used D00DS and then having to buy a stupid AC adapter for my stupid portable, stupid, stupid, GARARRRRRR! >:|

It comes with everything you need TToB. AC adaptor, wrist strap (including thumb pad) and two, (count 'em), two styluses!

The system is actually the best solution thus far for GBA games, in my opinion. (Micro ain't out yet.) I almost consider the DS games a bonus (till Castlevania, anyway).

Okay. Just checking since the used game market in the US is such a crap shoot due to the fact we're all suffering from some sort of terminal retardation, which prevents folks from keeping cases, manuals, and accessories.

I get the feeling I'll be lucky to get one stylus.

MORE CHOLERA PLZ! :(

Even a used DS should come with an AC adaptor. I can't imagine it being sold without one.

If that's the case, punch them in the face. Repeatedly.

Well I traded in some games and my GBA Player, I'm now $85 dollars closer to a handheld. I need a Nintendo system to play Sigma Star Saga, but god damn it - PSP be calling me man! :P

Oh and EB hates Capcom even more than I do. I got 50¢ and 75¢ trade-in credit for Auto Modellista and Dino Stalker. :lol

I don't mind since I made out like my namesake thanks to that trade-in deal. Maybe after I'm done handing out money to bill collectors tomorrow I'll have some green to pick up a D00DS and Ping Pals.

Hell yes. If I'm gonna buy a D00DS then Wayforward is getting my god damned support. Go down in flames baby, in flames! :lol
