If I hold out a treat over my cat's head she'll stand up on her hind legs and go for it without using her paws to help with leverage. Probably common, but still cute

My cat, Lynx:

While I was studying one night she decided I had enough and wouldn't let me turn the page. (she's pregnant and it's winter, she's not fat!)

Court is now in session, judge Lynx will see you.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww :)

Lynx is a 50/50 indoor/outdoor cat. She was originally 100% outdoor, until some stupid redneck bastards decided to shoot her with a shotgun. The shotgun pellets shattered her left front shoulder and made it completely useless. We saved her by taking her in to the vet and having surgery to repair the broken bones. She still has some of the shot pellets in her shoulder today. Tough kitty. :)

I wish I had a video camera to record my dog. But I guess it's ok, because she's so awesome someone would see the video and be all OMG and shit and steal her from me.

Dude your cat is pretty awesome, I can't believe someone would shoot at a cat with a shotgun, where the hell do you live?

Thanks. :)

I live in Wisconsin, out in the country, so you never know what kind of idiots are out roaming the forests/fields and what-not... :/

Edit: And luckily, it appeared to be bird-shot. Had it been 00 buck or anything like that she wouldn't have had a chance. :(

Our cat does this cute thing where she yowls at us to get up and feed her way too early in the morning. It's really adorable.

Ganny always has to be the first to check on the clothes in the dryer.

And he loves to sleep in between my legs.

He also rides around on my shoulders, but I don't have a picture of that.

Paprika, or Papz, my gerbil, is a sleepoholic. If she's tired she'll go to sleep right there and not even make the effort to go back to her bed. She's also the only gerbil out of three that sleeps sitting up/on her side. The rest curl up, which is normal.

When my dog was still alive, Lucky (our Lhasa Apso) used to do this only for me, whenever I blew into her face she would lick lick the air, like she was kissing me or the air. It was adorable, I miss her, God rest her soul.

We take Jake to a park here in Austin around 5AM and follow a wooded trail that has many deer watching us as we walk. He stays off the leash at this hour (doesn't stray more than a few feet from me anyway), and listens to them moving through the leaves.

When we reach a field along the trail, Jake can see them from the trail, but I'm guessing that they can only see his tail through the tall grass. He's able to get really close to them at that point, and all they see is a big white tail approaching. Once they realize that it's him: "Oh shit - that's not a fellow deer - that's a dog! RUNNNN!!!"

He won't give chase; he'll just stand there and whine. :lol

Years ago my parents had a jack russell terrier. This was around the time when Wild Discovery, a Discovery channel show about nature/animals/etc., came on regularly, and we used to watch it almost every evening. At one point, they had a show about porcupines, and in the middle of the show, the dog started going nuts. Barking at the porcupines on the TV, jumping at the screen, and otherwise completely losing it trying to get to the animals. She even tried to crawl underneath the cabinet the TV was on top of. :lol

Haha my dog loved Marley and Me, tried to go behind the TV

She loves to play with her water bowl/slap the water everywhere. It's funny sometimes, annoying when you get up in the middle of the night and step in it. She's about a year older now but still does it.

The funniest thing is when she gets hyper she arches her back and puts her ears back, and if you move at all she bolts off and makes the funniest "eh eh eh" noise really fast. :D

Crawls over me when I'm trying to sleep.

Shits on the floor.

Pisses in the corner.

Throws up in two different spots every day (it's always two different spots).

Whines for food when I'm asleep even though they have food in their bowls.

Having an animal in the house is fu-un.

looks like he's telling her a joke :lol

my corgi clacks her teeth together when she's excited - like when i'm about to take her for a walk, or filling her food bowl.

My dog always likes to chill on his stomach spreading his legs out. He has done that since he was a puppy, now he is 9 or 10 years old.

Fight for the high ground. Our cats would fight over this mattress we propped up when I was moving. Then, the winner would sit atop the mattress and puff her chest out and just pose there. If another cat tried to get up there, they'd get paw'd. My cat, Roxy, was always the winner, of course!

Also, not my cat, but this is effin' adorable!

Awhhhhhhhhhh! What is that wall the cat jumps over before the mattress? It was so close to hitting its head on that thing!

Looks like a cat scratcher (corrugated cardboard).

My Lab's "bark". She does normal barking but she has this special "bark" at special times (When we're talking about her, when she wants us to hurry up to do something or get something for her, etc. etc).

It's like a normal bark but she holds it and still enunciates. Instead of "WOOF, WOOF, WOOF" you get a "Wooooooooowoowoowooooo" that starts loud and draws down from there.

The flash woke him up but Fatty routinely falls asleep on his back on my legs.

His mum, Bastis, is really vocal. When someone visits she walks to see who it is, does her little little greeting meow and walks back. Same goes for if someone walks into the room she's in. She often seems to talk to herself too which is weird. I've snapped some strange/cute pics of her though.

My other cat that lives at home with Mum. Frankie is a Siamese X. One day he was sitting with my Mum and I can't even believe what happened. He was cleaning himself and farted and kind of looked up and looked at Mum who said "It wasn't me you stinky bastard" then he turned and looked at his butt. Strange cat. He also managed to get fed around 3 times a day by learning who woke up when and then harassing different people. My Dad got up first and left before anyone else woke up so he'd get fed. Then he'd harass Mum/siblings who woke up next. After that he'd come sit by my door until I woke up for a third feed. Cheeky.

I've got so many other strange pets but I think this post is long enough.

If that's a mattress, that's one huge cat.

it's not, he said it wasn't his cat, looks like a pillow actually lol

My (now deceased) American cocker spaniel copper usd to attempt to eat the bomberman characters when playng multiplayer on the snes, funny thing is ths is the only game he'd do it to, I guess he just hated bombermen.

Also whenever you returned home from going out he'd bring you little presents cause he was so pleased to see you. These were usually shoes or packets of crisps and stuff but once after coming back from a 2 week holiday he outdid himself. He dragged a massive bag of dry mixer from the utility room all the way to the front door, pretty big achievement for a smallish dog.

He had the best disposition of any dog I've ever met and I miss him every day. Before he died of cancer he lost an eye to glucoma so he came to a fancy dress party with me as a pirate complete with parrot on his shoulder. Some bastard pinched the camera else there would be pics :(

This is my dog, Moscow. Every time I point a camera at him, he breaks up this smile. It never fails. What I love most is that he seems to know when I am feeling low. He jumps on me, looks up at me, and he smiles. He likes my face and smiles, as if to say that things will get better.

UFRA cute lynx but why is she pregnant? Especially in Wisconsin where we even considered allowing them to be shot because of population issues. Our local shelter puts down like 76 young cats and kittens a year.

My cat loves to hide between the liner and curtains of the shower and jump out at you!

He is busy filming a kindred sequel to The Fox and The Hound. This one called The Cat and The Squirrel

He cracks me up on now intense he plays, even as a kitten he just dont let go!

His love for attacking plush toys displayed on shelving developed at a young age.

The way he sleeps by me, hogging the whole left side of the bed stretched out with his head up against my chest or paws up in the air is hilarious. I had to learn to be very careful and not move during sleep.
I was looking at the art in a postcard once and he ran up and took off with it in his teeth.

My cat sleeps funny.

She also likes to randomly jump up onto the kitchen sink, turn it on and washes her neck. It's weird.

She's also super obsessed with my printer/scanner. Whenever I turn it on, no matter where in the house she is, she'll hear in and DASH over and jump on my table to spectate whatever it is that it's doing. After a while, she'll just lie on top of it or walk back and forth on my table, preventing me from doing any work.

My cat, when he wants attention, will roll on the ground in front of me in an attempt to block my path. If I go around him, he'll get up, run in front of me, and roll over again. Pretty adorable.

My dog Sparky halfway in the bed. Not sure if he got too lazy to fully get into bed or decided to go back to sleep while getting out of bed.

One of my two cats is a real lap-lover. She loves sleeping on my lap when I sit infront of the computer and it's really sad the times I have to do something so that I can't have her on my lap and I put her down on the floor, because she turns around and jumps up again. When I put her down again she's sort of "...oh.. oh, I see.. ok.." and walks away.

18460639.jpg

She's awesome.

Sometimes she waits for me to get to the computer. Several times I've come back and I find lines of "%"¤jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj" posted in an IRC channel that's up and I realise she's slept on my keyboard for quite some time.

He's the most lovable and gentle dog ever...except when you go for his ball. All bets are off.

Haha, I read "except for when you go for his balls".

They like to sleep stretched out sometimes (as opposed to curled up), You might wanna get him a bigger round bed or a longer flat one..
