Dark Mass | World Premiere Reveal Trailer

Underwater diving horror game is murky depths is kinda a cool concept.

There is nothing more scary than caving. This trailer reminds me of the The Nutty Putty cave rescue. I caution you not to look that up if you are feint of heart but it will serve to show you how caving and even worse underwater caving or even just diving can quickly turn into a worst nightmare imaginable.

My main problem with that trailer is that they had the monster character moving like in any other game and not like they were at the bottom of the sea so what's the point of making the game underwater then?

A deep sea expedition goes tragically wrong in Dark Mass,

And then they show basic scuba diving at regular depths. More interesting if it was something like The Abyss.

Fuck, man. I misread the title as "Dark Messiah" and got fucking excited.
This has been happening to me a lot over the last few years.

Also, Dark M'Ass. OR, if you want it DOOM Eternal themed: ArkM D'ass almost like Argent D'Nur!

What time is it?
The quality of the voice acting is kind of jarring when compared to the quality of the visuals.

Excellent point. I also think they revealed too much of the monster as most tension is built during the "not knowing" stage.

And the kicker is the one setting shown is a cabin/mansion. Combine that with A AMC124c41 's point above and it's like they built a somewhat generic horror game and then tried to figure out how to differentiate it. Let's just put it under water!

I hate dunking on indie devs but this trailer started with an interesting premise and then went into silly territory quite quickly. Undead zombi thing runs after you in an abandoned house, ver spooky, never seen that before. But wait, it's underwater now :messenger_grinning_squinting:
